It’s so refreshing to know that when there is serious drama going over on LJ, that I can come here to get away from it all.

There was an issue I was having with my boyfriend a few days ago in which I wrote about in my LJ. At first I had comments opened up but then it was brought to my attention that because of difference in opinion, a blog war would start. In order to avoid such a thing from happening, I disabled comments. Wrote up another entry explaining why I disabled comments so no blog war would happen. Or so I thought.

One of my commenters got offended because she thought I deleted comments that I didn’t agree with. Let me tell you I didn’t like coming home to this after having a great day. It really frustrated me having to defend myself against such an outrageous accusation. I think if you’re going to have any kind of blog with comments enabled, you have to be prepared for people that will disagree with you. However, you don’t have to tolerate downright rude behavior. There is a difference between rudeness and simply disagreeing. I merely didn’t want rude behavior erupting from a difference in opinion. I don’t mind if someone disagrees with what I say. Most of the time, I agree to disagree and leave it at that. I’m not going to be a pansy and delete things I don’t like unless it’s downright rude.
