My weekend began by me working a 1-8pm shift at work. Although I had much to do throughout this shift, it still was the longest shift ever due to the fact I was going to a place a million times better afterwards. At 8:05pm I was out the door and after a quick trip through Wendy’s drive-through for some food, we spent the next two hours driving to my grandparents’ house in Marin County.
We got there a little before 10pm and after we settled in, we socialized w/grandparents till 10:30pm. After that is was time for bed. I didn’t sleep too well that night because it was extremely chilly downstairs, and I was too cold to even get out of bed to grab an extra blanket.
Both Joshua and I were up around 8:30am, which was 30 minutes earlier than we had originally planned. Ate a very healthy breakfast, got ready, and then took off for the aquarium. It was a lovely trip into the city and by the time we got there all the fog had already cleared.
Our plan to go to the aquarium was put on hold when we realized that the aquarium was under construction. Instead we decided to wander around Union Square and do a bit of shopping. Went in to the 4-level Borders store, the giant Disney Store, the 2-level Victoria’s Secrets, the 4-level Old Navy, and the giant Apple Store. Yeah needless to say I had loads of fun! On our way back to my grandparent’s house, we went down the famous Lombard Street which was the trippiest thing ever! Came back home and once the rest of my family arrived we had our big afternoon meal. Shortly after that Joshua & I packed up our things, said goodbye to family and headed to the beach!
Spending the evening with Joshua at the beach was one of those moments that some live for. The weather was fine except for a very chilly wind. We laid on the beach watching the waves for a long time talking about everything, mainly how we can’t wait until he finally gets to go to his dealership and we can leave El Dorado County behind to start our life together. Both of us want to get away from our life right now so bad. It’ll be the greatest thing once we can.
Around 6:15pm, we left the beach and made our journey back to my house. On our way home we stopped for a bite to eat at my favorite restaurant, Mary’s Pizza Shack, and then came home where we watched two episodes of House. It was a nice and relaxing way to end the weekend.
Today begins another week of work, although not one as busy. This is good because I’m going to get more time to work on UMHSMUSIC.org, something I’ve been needing to time to work on. Good things will be happening towards the end of the week since I get it off so woo hoo!
