They say good things come to those and boy does that saying ring true! Tuesday, Joshua went through his interview for the Mercedes-Benz Training program and got accepted! Not only that but when it comes time for him to work at the dealership, he pretty much gets to work at any dealership he chooses! Since last October, Joshua has been going to UTI to get the basic needed car training done. When he graduates he’ll be going to the Mercedes Elite Training for 4 months down in Rancho Cucamonga. When that is finished, he immediately gets to start working at the dealership.
We were both worried for awhile because there were a lot of possibilities that things weren’t going to work out the way we wanted them. There was a good chance he could be sent to any Mercedes Elite program in the country, and there was a good chance that after he completed the program he could go to any dealership in the country as well. However, Joshua kicked ass in his interview therefore he does get to go to the program in the location he wants AND the dealership he wants as well. This means that towards the end of February beginning of March we will be in the process of getting an apartment in Folsom. This also means I can go to Sac State and still keep my job at Old Navy! :cheerful:
Yesterday was not the greatest of days for me. Tuesday night I worked until 11pm which means I ended up crawling into bed around 1am. At 5am, my cat decides she wants to be let outside so after doing that I spent the next 2 hours trying to get some sleep. I had to be at work at 9am which meant I would be working 8 hours on only 5 hours of sleep. Totally was not a happy camper. Plus it didn’t help that certain people kept snapping at me throughout the day. When the day was over I came home to shower, took two capsules of Tylenol PM, had some dinner, and crawled into bed around 7:20pm. I slept like a rock for the next two hours until my bladder woke me up. I talked to Joshua on the phone for about 10 minutes and then went back to sleep where I slept soundly for the rest of the evening.
Today is my day off in which I get to go get my haircut and make a visit to my special dentist. After that the day is mine to get a wee bit of web site stuff done both here and here.
