4 Day weekends are rocksome y0!

Sorry about the whole comments issue y’all. You can comment safely now. :D

So the past few days have been extremely busy/crazy! workon Friday was busy in which I got to close down the drawers all by myself for the first time, but because of how slow I still am I didn’t get off of work till 11pm.

Saturday morning I was up at 6:45am in order to be over at Joshua’s house by 8am. I got to babysit Tiffany-Rose until 12:30pm because she was too young to go on the rafting trip. Me & Ms. Tiffany had a loads of fun together! We went to Jamba Juice where I introduced her to an Orange-A-Peel smoothie. We stopped by the bank and then bopped around Wal-Mart for wee bit. Came back to her house where we watched “Finding Nemo” and played with Barbies. Her grandmother came over to pick her up so I could head off to work.

Work was SO crazy!! When I got there I was told to run a rack of go-backs and for the rest of my shift I worked on this one rack. Reason why was because every five minutes or so I was being called up to be cashier or cover someone in the fitting room for a 15 minute break. Because of the customers I had coming through the store allowed me to do some serious reflection.

One thing I realized is that it was so pathetic and immature of me to go into Dollar Tree to show up La Whore (Joshua’s ex-girlfriend) all those times I did. Even though at the time I felt like I was making myself feel better, I was really showing how low my self esteem was. It was extremely belitting and pathetic. I apologized to Joshua for all those times I went plus those times I made him go with me. See, ever since I started working, I’ve had quite a few of my ex-friends have come in with the whole purpose of trying to intimidate me. Seeing it through a different point of view allowed me to realized just how insecure I was when I did that. At least now I can hold my head high knowing that I am the one with the good job (I actually have a job unlike some), good boyfriend, and good life.

The other thing I thought about was how I would react if someone tried to challenge my beliefs. As my part of my job, I engage in friendly conversations with my customers in order to make their shopping experience a great one. But I honestly don’t know what I would do if through a conversation they would impose beliefs on me that I don’t agree with. For example, I had a large group of Mexicans come through my line. Within their group they had one American guy. He held up one of our 4th-of-July t-shirts and asked the group what they thought. One girl said, “It would look a lot better if it had a Mexican flag on it!” This kinda shocked me because I honestly don’t know what I would do if that was directly addressed towards me. For one thing, I disagree with illegal immigration, and I think when you migrate to the United States you should have the attitude of, “Here are my skills and this is what I can do to contribute to this country” not “Hey, what can you do for me?”

Anyways, after work I thought I was going to have to babysit but turns out I didn’t! Joshua met up with me after work where we dropped my car off at El Dorado Hills movie theatre and we drove around Folsom until it was time for the movie. We finally saw Cars and it was such a cute movie! Pixar never fails to amuse me, especially when it comes to the short films at the beginning. I have me another movie to download off of iTunes :D!

Sunday morning Joshua came over to get me and after dropping by church real quick to see if Chris needed a ride home, we left to go to lunch and spent the whole day checking out apartments. We found a lot of potential places but the Folsom area is really expensive. We’re going to continue looking at places in Roseville, Citrus Heights, and Rancho Cordova that will be way cheaper and closer to where we want to be. We checked places out until 5pm and then headed home for dinner and TV watching.

Well no jury duty for me today! Instead I get to enjoy a lovely day off spending it with Joshua! We’re going up to Tahoe this evening to have dinner with his family whom are up there camping through the 4th! Tomorrow I have to work from 11am-7pm and then I get go watch fireworks with my boy!

Hey, so the apartment thing caught my eye: I live in Roseville in a BEAUTIFUL place (Slate Creek at Johnson Ranch), and it’s…fairly cheap, I guess. Citrus Heights are the other places we were looking. But i love living in Roseville (so much better than Folsom) because I’m close to EVERYTHING - including Highway 80. So, I like being in the hub of things, and perhaps you should investigate.

Hey! Go to http://sacramento.craigslist.org — they have lots of house listings that are easy to find! Also, you may want to go to some realty offices. They might help you out.

:cheerful: HAPPY 4th! :cheerful:

Sounds like you had a GREAT weekend, besides the whole work thing, but its good you were able to reflect on somethings. Man, I wish I had the work schedule you have today, I have to work 3pm-11pm. ANYWAY, good luck with the Apartment hunt, you and Joshua deserve a GREAT place! :D
