Happy Belated 4th All!

Sorry I’m a bit behind, but the 4th was a very busy day for me. Came home from Tahoe w/Joshua @ 1am and we both died at my house from being so tired. Woke up around 9am and then I rushed to get ready for work. Stopped by his house real quick so he could change, and I fed the animals since I got put in charge to house-sit while the family is away in Tahoe. After his house we picked up his buddy Ray and then Joshua dropped me off at work.

Work. Oh my God. People were such assholes. They all came expecting us to have a ton of 4th-of-July t-shirts and got really pissy when we didn’t have their size. Dude, we have been selling those t-shirts since June. Not our problem if you’re coming in at the last minute and can’t find what you’re looking for. Also, lately a lot of people haven’t understood the concept of pricing on clearance items. I don’t know what it is because all of a sudden people are just being dumb. The signs say, “Up to #% off! Prices as marked.” Yet people are bringing up a butt-load of clearance items to make me do price checks when the prices are ON THE TAG and give lip when it doesn’t show up as cheaper. Not to mention I’m still getting those people who will bitch if an item is ’supposed’ to be $0.97 and it rings up $1.97. Gah, people need to be shot.

During my lunch I went over to Borders where I got myself a book on Barbie collecting; this book shows how much certain dolls are worth, which is good for me since I have a lot of Barbie’s lying around. I also got this really cute pcket-sized planner that I can carry around in my purse so I know what I have going on before I make appointments or plans. I also visited my friend who works at the cafe and gave her a hug because she was dealing with her share of asshole customers as well.

Joshua picked me up from work and while we were planning on going to Cal Expo to see the fireworks, we decided for once we were going to stay in. We came back to my house and watched two more episodes of House while I gave him a pedicure. It was a nice evening with it being just the two of us hanging out. We’ve been going someplace almost every night so it was nice to stay in for once. Besides, we saw fireworks on our way home from Tahoe so we figured it was no big deal if we missed them.

So today is back to the regular schedule of work for me and school/work for Joshua. Luckily it’s only Wednesday which means the weekend is practically here! Plus since I am house-sitting, I get to see Joshua when I come home tonight! YAY!

We don’t celebrate 4th of july here…mainly because it’s an american holiday, but i think it’d be pretty fun all the same. :cheerful:
I’m glad i don’t ever have to price check things at work because there’s always a price on the back of whatever it is. My boss is really insane about that and makes sure everything is priced. *Hug* Sorry there are so many ass holes that shop at yours! :faint:
Sounds like you and joshua had a really good time. And it’s great when it can be just the two of you. It’s great.
