Fondue is my love now <3

Another good weekend has come and gone with the only promise of another good one. Friday night I worked until 10:30pm because there was an error with one of the drawers enabling me to close it. After my boss figured out what went wrong, we closed up shop and I headed home to where I hung out with Joshua. It was pretty late by the time we got the TV so we said forget it and went to bed.

Saturday morning I woke Joshua up (he spent the night) and we got ready. We left at 10:15am and raced to the nearest McDonald’s so we could get breakfast before it was over at 10:30am. After a few stops, we headed on down to Fairfield where we got to tour the Jelly Belly Factory! The tour was quite fun and we bought a few goodies from the gift shop afterwards.

After getting gas in Dixon, we made our way back to Folsom where I returned a picture frame at Aaron Brothers, bought my very own Fondue Pot for $6 at Cost Plus World Market, and a book of fondue recipes at Borders. Shortly after 4pm, we had a delicious cheese fondue dinner at the new restaurant called La Dip Fondue. Needless to say my new food obsession has been fondue. ;)

We made a quick stop at the video store and came home to where we went swimming for a bit and watched our two TiVoed episodes of House along with the first 6 episodes of Sex & the City season 2. By the time all that was said and done Joshua went home at 1:30am.

Sunday morning was the usual: Joshua picked me up and we went to service and lunch with the family. After lunch we went to Lowe’s where I got a can of denatured alcohol, which is the fuel needed for my fondue pot. Had to stop at Joshua’s house so he could do a bit of cleaning and after making a quick stop at the grocery store, we headed back to my house where we swam until dinner. Enjoyed a delicious meal of homemade Chinese food and chocolate fondue (prepared by myself) for dessert. We watched the rest of Sex & the City season 2 and then Joshua left to go home.

Today I have been spending all morning preparing buffalo wings for my work’s promotional party for a fellow coworker. I get to work from 2:30-10pm so that shall be oh-so-exciting, especially since everyone is bringing some kind of food for the party. Can’t wait! :D
