In honor of it being Harry Potter’s birthday (and JK Rowling’s b-day!) yesterday I was going to buy the 3rd book (I lost mine
) because normally Borders has the books on sale on July 31st. However, I went into the store coming off as a royal geek when I inquired about the books being on sale. Alas they were not, therefore I decided to wait until I get my “Personal Shopping Day” to purchase the book. Instead I treated myself to a purse I have been eying for quite awhile. New purses make me happy.
Today is my day off so I am taking the opportunity to get as much done for school as I possibly can. This includes getting my books, parking permit, and supplies. I also have to drop by work to get a change of availability form. My work availability is going to go done a lot this fall. Damn school. Here’s the classes I will be taking …
FITNS 306 (Cardio Kickboxing), T & Th, 9:30am-10:45am, EDC
FITNS 392 (Yoga), M & W, 12:30-1:45pm, EDC
HIST 312 (History of the US to 1865), M & W, 2:30-3:45pm, FLC
MATH 30 (Pre-Algebra Math), T & Th, 7-9:15pm, EDC
CMED 305 (Film History), M, 7-9:50pm, EDC
I guess this semester isn’t too bad. I dread Spring of 2007 where I’m going to have to take some science classes. Ick. :faint: Science and math are le poopy.
So this past weekend was pretty good. I was fortunate enough to be given the morning off on Saturday therefore allowing me to go up to Sugarloaf to see my sister’s chorale performance. I was able to stay for the entire show, but I had to leave immediately after the last jazz band number. I worked 1:30-6pm, waited around Borders for Joshua to show up and we had a lovely dinner at Mimi’s Cafe. After dinner we went over to the movie theatre in which we saw PotC: Dead Man’s Chest. Loved it again, and was able to analyze things more carefully, so I came up with some possible theories.
Sunday we went to service and lunch, and then it was back to Joshua’s house where he spent the afternoon working on his brother’s car. Around 4:30pm we left for the grocery store to get some items for making chocolate fondue, and then headed back to my house for dinner. After dinner Joshua & I attempted to make chocolate fondue for the second time (we made it the first time last weekend). It turned out perfectly this time because A) we cooked it in the fondue pot itself instead of in a saucepan and then pot, and B) I used baker’s cream instead of half-n-half, which I thought was the same thing as cream. Now that I’ve perfected the chocolate fondue, I’m going to try my hand at cheese fondue. Makes me hungry just writing about it!
Things have begun to get tough again. Yesterday Joshua’s transmission went out in his car leaving him off the road until he gets the part that will hopefully fix it or a new transmission. Until he gets the time/money to do either of those, I’m stuck driving him around if I want to see him. At least my mom is cool with him spending the night on the weekend so it doesn’t inconvenience me too much. I just hope his car isn’t off the road as long as it was the last time this happened (4 months).
Anyways, I am now off to run more errands, grab some lunch, and visit the boy to somewhat cheer him up.

Know what’s cool? I have a fondue fountain! It’s totally fun and sweet. So if you ever want to borrow it you totally can, I hardly ever use it. It’s crazy.
And your classes sounds a lot of fun. You’re going to like yoga, it’s really relaxing.
