Sorry it has been awhile since I’ve written. I’ve been so busy with school, work, and other things that it leaves me very little time to update. I’m still trying to adjust to my weekly schedule since I have so much going on right now. It’s tough, yes, but I think soon I will be able to appreciate it once Joshua leaves.
A little recap on the weekend, on Saturday I had work from 8:30-11am, and took Joshua to local car part shops in attempt to find a specific part for his tranny. Since Saturday was my dad’s real birthday, I thought I was going to have to babysit Sis because my parents were planning on going to the State Fair for the day; they changed their mind so I didn’t have to babysit. Instead, Joshua & I ventured to more car part stores in the Sacramento area. We finally took a break and had a very nice dinner at Macaroni Grill and then met up with Bobby & Amber to FINALLY see Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. We were going to see it the weekend before last but because it was sold out, we saw Accepted instead, which turned out to be a pretty good movie!
Sunday Joshua & I skipped service to go back down to more car part stores and after much frustration with idiotic people, we finally got the part. I had just enough time to grab a bite to eat, drop Joshua off, and head back down the hill for work. I’ve now opened up my availability to work on Sundays because soon there isn’t going to be anyone to be with on Sundays and I need money :P. After work I was driving home in a rather blissful state because I got off work an hour early, I had a busy week ahead of me which would go by fast in anticipation to Disneyland. But I guess a perfect evening doesn’t last forever, because I was immediately summoned to Joshua’s house because of some 3-month-old drama still occurring.
Monday was back to school in which I enjoyed a good 75 minutes of Yoga, some left over Spaghetti from Saturday’s dinner, and an interesting History class. In History, we have all been assigned to a topic (for example mine is slavery pre-Civil-War) and not only do we have to present it with a group, but we have to pick a focus within that topic to write a research paper on it. Since my group’s topic was a combination of slavery & the Civil War, I was unfortunately the only person who had interest in the slavery aspect - people were more interested in talking about leaders or battles of the Civil War - thus I pretty much have the entire topic of slavery to cover. My focus in my paper is going to be Harriet Beecher Stowe’s impact/influence on slavery and the Civil War. I know that doesn’t really excite any of you, but HEY I GET TO WRITE ABOUT THE PERSON I WANTED TO! Go me.
Anyhoo, I also had Film History class that evening and it’s a great class because everything I pay attention to in movies, like the music and camera angles and such, is stuff we’re actually analyzing and it’s just awesomeness. If you think I am a tough movie critic now, wait till I am finished with this class. Cool thing I did learn was two things that can make a movie a blockbuster hit. First, turn the sound off (like put the movie on mute) and see if you can understand what’s going, and then just listen to the movie and not watch it. If you can understand everything going on both times then it’s a good movie. I think I’ll try that during my free time, haw haw.
Yesterday was another full day of kickboxing plus fitness assessment testing so that guaranteed extra muscle soreness. After kickboxing I had a little free time and then I went to work for 4 hours in which I got to train a new girl in the fitting room. I found it very weird that they would have me train someone in the fitting room considering I barely ever work in the fitting room. Still, it felt cool to have the privlege of being able to train someone.
Today is Yoga & History again and then I get to close at work for the evening. Then tomorrow will be kickboxing, work, and math. After that … DISNEYLAND! Soooo excited! I daaaaance for joy! :D
