I’m going to Disneyland!

The Friday Five ~
1. This is the 1st of September, what do you want to accomplish by the 31st?
A sense of mental stability. Emotionally preparing myself for Joshua leaving is probably one of the hardest things I’m going through. I’d like to be mentally stable by the time the end of the month happens just so my stupid womanly emotions won’t get the better of me and cause unnecessary stress in mine & Joshua’s life. I’m trying to avoid being like Lindsey, Dean’s wife in Gilmore Girls; I saw the ugly side of myself come out in her in a particular episode.

2. What does September make you think about or feel?
It’s kind of sad because after Labor Day, summer is officially over and everyone is back in school by then. September brings back reality.

3. September is the ninth month; can you name nine memories so far from this year?
Yeah I can but I’d rather not just because a lot of them were with someone who is sadly no longer in my life.

4. What does September have in common with three other months and can you name them?
It ends in “ber” like October, November, and December do. And I believe it’s one out of 4 that has only 30 days.

5. The first weekend in September signals the end of summer for many even though it doesn’t really end for weeks. When does summer end for you?
More like when did summer ever begin for me? Once you’re out of high school summer doesn’t exist anymore. It’s more of annoying hot weather, no school, and more working. But I do think summer ends for me after Labor Day weekend. I’ve gotten adjusted with my work/school schedule and now it’s like, “Okay here is what needs to be getting done.”

I must say that I am so happy that I decided to invest in Netflix and catch up with watching Gilmore Girls again. I’ve had some interesting reality checks (see question #1 above) come through to me in that show and seeing Lorelei & Luke finally get together made me happy as heck can be. I love having something that I can look forward to on my own time and not have to worry about a due date to return it or it possibly getting deleted from TiVo. Just me and my Netflix makes me happy. :cheerful:

Today I learned never to go down to the mall the Friday of a 3-day weekend. Even at 2pm in the afternoon everyone and their mom is out on the road. Needless to say I was stuck in a lot of traffic. Luckily I avoided it all on the way home by taking all the backroads and was able to enjoy beautiful scenery.

I did have a good day though despite all the traffic. I visited Joshua, got my car washed, picked up my schedule from work and spent the afternoon wandering around Arden Fair Mall. Surprisingly I didn’t buy much of anything. In fact, all I bought was this long-sleeved black shirt from Gap and delicate clothing wash from Victoria’s Secrets. I also got free Estee Lauder Mascara Primer thanks to a coupon from one of my magazines. Yeah, I did a good job at not spending a lot of money.

So tomorrow I shall be waking up around 4am, leaving at 5am and heading straight down to Anaheim. I’ll be coming home on Monday, the 4th. I will give you guys a full update complete with pictures as soon as I have a chance!

To end this entry, here are the answers to the brainbuster I posted last Thursday.

1. Yes, it comes right after the 3rd and is before the 5th of July.
2. Only one. Then you celebrate it every year.
3. All of them.
4. The beggar is a woman.
5. Because he is still alive.
6. Six. Have to consider both teams.
7. No because he’s dead.
8. They were playing against different people.
9. 70. You divide 30 by a half (0.5) which is 60 and then add 10 which equals 70.
10. The bear is white.
11. You have 2 apples.
12. A fifty cent piece and a nickel. There are two coins and only 1/2 is not a nickel. They didn’t say 2/2.
13. You light the match.
14. Halfway because then it’s running out of the woods.
15. Moses didn’t take any animals on the Ark. Noah did.
16. He weighs meat.
17. A dozen.
18. George W. Bush. The president’s name was still the same in 1960 as it is today.

Edit: Because I’ve been complaining about the pain thanks to my “lack-of-caffeine headaches” my mom & sister decided to stick a picture of Gregory House on my mirror.

In case you read this before you leave, I’m doing an affie cleanup to and you need to tag me or comment by the end of the month if you want your link to stay up, if not, I’ll leave you up anyway, since I know you’re on hiatus/holiday.
