The Friday Five ~
1. How do you deal with stress?
I cry, I vent, I sleep, I ditch class, I take long showers. I’ve been doing all those things a LOT lately.

2. Do you have a favorite “comfort food” and what is it?
I have lots of comfort foods. Chocolate Fudge Brownie ice cream from Ben & Jerry’s, Spaghetti-Os w/meatballs, Dr. Pepper.

3. Do you have a “comfort activity” and what is it?
If I can be left alone to just do computery things for the day, then life is beautiful!

4. What days depress you and why?
Days that seriously deprive me of energy, sleep, and time. For example, those two days where I had to work 8am-5pm in a row, painful.

5. What days excite you and why?
Any day that I know I get to spend with Joshua makes me happier than words can express! Also, the second and fourth Wednesdays of every month because that is when I get my paycheck, tee hee.

I decided to hold off with the entries until I had something positive to say, since it seemed all I was doing was being cranky. But it appears that a little black cloud of negativity has been following me around all week finally raining on me on Thursday. Needless to say, I can’t wait till my placebo week is over because then I will have a steady amount of hormones floating through my body; therefore making me a much happier person.

I’ve been really stressed out lately, mainly having to due with my History class in general and the fact work is maxing out my availability. I can definitely relate to Joshua as far as how his schedule has been the past year. I have a NO time for myself except maybe 1-2 hours a day not including sleep time. And even sleep has been limited because of everything I’m having to do for school. At least I have a better idea of time management for next semester. I just can’t wait till I am done with this one.

Things are getting better though. My main cause of stress is thanks to a research paper in History, which I am finally up to speed on. And I have a few classes canceled next week which makes things a lot nicer for me time-wise. I definitely have enough to keep me busy until Thanksgiving at least.

So I’m doing okay as far as Joshua being away goes. I miss him a lot, but I think what I yearn for more is being able to come home to him, something I won’t get to do until the summer. Our relationship has gotten so much better in the past several months since the rough patch we went through at the beginning of the year. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that the prospect of a much better life is much closer than it ever has been and we’re getting excited. I’m only going to get to see him once a month, but considering these months are the busiest ever, it’s not a big deal. Besides, his last day of school is February 2nd, only 3 DAYS before my birthday, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! XD

Anyhoo, that’s all for now folks. I have to report back to work for the other part of my split shift. Wahooey!

Hmm, you and I sound pretty similar along the stress line of things, particularly the ice cream and Dr. Pepper (which I just discovered CAN be bought over here!) part!
Thanks for the help with my haywire layout, lol! I still haven’t worked it out, but I’m getting there, I’m trying everything everyone’s suggested…I’m kind of scared my whole blog is going to disappear or something, but oh well, I’ll work it out! :P

Heheh, comment #3 on this entry from me! :P
Yeah, I just started using Akismet right after I posted that entry, it was the next thing on my to-do list, and I haven’t had anymore spam so far tonight, so touch wood that it’s working.
No, I wasn’t aware that it says that in my comments, how weird 8O! I’m going to have a look now though, and see if I can spot where/why/what is happening…lol, I think my blog is out to get me! :D
