What happened?
Written on Tuesday, October 31st, 2006 @ 10:48pm

What a crock! Not only was I the ONLY person that dressed up for Halloween at work, but they were playing Christmas music already! I don’t know which is worst … the fact they’re playing Christmas music or the fact that it happens to be the exact same Christmas music being played when I was working at BBW a year ago. Either way, I was disappointed. And my decorating went to a waste because barely anybody brought in anything for the potluck. I swear, my Halloweens are getting worst every year. :(

I think what’s really making me sad is how the media is slowly diminishing Halloween and Thanksgiving. Halloween just happened today and 2-3 weeks prior, Christmas stuff has been appearing everywhere. My store just did a 48 Holiday Transition where they spent all night decorating the entire store for Christmas. I was a little understanding when the media was pushing for Christmas before Thanksgiving, but before Halloween? I protest!

Heh! Stupid bold tag! I think I fixed it though…now nothing is bold :P
Yeah, I sort of managed to get popup comments to go away, though I think it’s partly to do with the fact that most of the latest entry is behind a cut…maybe. Oh well.
Yeah, it’s INSANE how early Christmas stuff starts popping up! Over here I saw it at the end of September! I was like “Argh! Why don’t they just leave it up all year round!?” 8O

Dude, I know. Christmas before Halloween makes me so mad.. and the funny thing is, stores do it because they think it will make people buy more. But they won’t! They’ll just buy the same amount over a longer stretch of time. I, for one, am definitely not ready for Christmas yet. (But I might be ready to go hit up some Target post-Halloween candy sales…)

I dunno, though. Luckily for me, SF seems to love all things celebratory. We went to Castro last night and TONS of people were dressed up. It was awesome, mostly because we left before people started getting shot.

HAHAHAH. Seriously. Hey, I think it’s just because Christmas is so jolly that everyone fakes being nice, and everyone likes it when people aren’t so bitchy, so they push so much for it. Plus, presents are better than candy. AND, you can still dress up for Christmas. Figure, put on an elf costume or be naughty Miss Clause?? eh, EH?!?!

but yeah, Halloween blew this year.
