A Fear of the Unknown

How does someone wake up one day and decide they don’t love the person they’ve been with for years? How can the switch be so easily turned off? How can someone say “I love you” so easily and mean it but it be a lie. How does this happen? I’ve seen this happen a few times as of recently and it makes me both sad and scared. Sad that my closest friends are having their most precious hearts broken and scared that it could happen to me. It’s almost like when is it my turn? I know it’s horrible to even think about it but my closest friends who are so wonderful and at one point were in stable relationships like mine and now gone. I just don’t understand how that can happen. I honestly don’t.

I finally got around to watching Tuesday’s Gilmore Girl episode thus witnessing the BEST man fight I have ever seen since Big/Aidan (Sex & the City). I started laughing my ass off when I saw Chris heading towards Luke and visa versa. And I loved how they just rolled around beating the crap out of each and just walked away. Silly men! *sigh* I can’t help it I still am for Luke/Loreli. As much Luke totally screwed everything up, I really hope the plot of this season takes an interesting turn to bring them back together. Don’t get me wrong I like Chris … it’s just Luke is so much better. Plus he’s sexy.

The assistant manager at my store has been promoted to a general manager at another Old Navy in our area so her last day with us is on Saturday. My buddy Carol & I have been put in charge by our GM to plan a surprise going away party for her. I was given $20 for decorations and Carol is in charge of the cake. Tomorrow I go get everything and set up since AM is opening on Saturday. Man, I am so sad AM is leaving. She was the one who hired me and always got me involved in things. I’m going to miss her a lot. The only thing I am worried about is me still getting my requested days off after Christmas with this new manager. AM had it already marked down in her book and she is very cool with me about my schedule so all I can hope is this new temporary one in charge of the schedules will be the same.

Anyhoo I am off to wind down the evening with a nice warm shower. Actually scratch that. Boyfriend just got online and told me to call him. Pffft.

Heheh, I used to watch Gilmore Girls…when it was actually on over here at some logical hour (i.e not 4am!)
I hope your managers going away party goes well. Hopefully if you’d already arranged to have the time off then whoever takes over should be consistant enough and follow through with it. :D
Hmm, I should really blog, I haven’t for ages. Peter Pan opens tomorrow, I have a 12pm call for a quick tech run and then we open with our matinee at 2pm. That’s a REALLY weird time to open, but oh well, hahah. Maybe I’ll have something exciting to blog about after that! :D
