I have a purple thumb.

Tonight I was out in my living room watching the Kill Bill movies (which I thought were really good btw), and I smashed my thumb so flippin hard. The coffee table in our living room has the end flaps on them that you can use to extend the table, so-to-speak. Well I put up one of these flaps which happened to tightly squeeze up against a heavy chair that had been pushed near it. When I was trying to put the flap down, it snapped down smashing my thumb directly into the table. My thumb nail cracked and turned purple bleeding a little on the side. The pain has been excruciating and took half an hour to go down to the point where I can successfully use my thumb.

I went home sick from work tonight, much disappointment (I need the hours), because I had the sudden urge to hurl my guts out. I was standing at the register putting change in my drawer when the queasiness that I had been feeling since lunchtime came to a climax thus forcing me to run to the bathroom and well … you can guess. I went to the office and knocked on the door explaining what had happened and requested to go home. Supervisor had me sit down to drink some water for a little bit, and soon I was forced to the restroom once more. After I came back I had a meeting about this month’s ONC contest and then I went home.

My hours at work have kinda sucked lately. I had requested February 8th-12th off because that’s when Joshua is officially done with his program so I was going to fly down to help him move. Supervisor accidentally thought I meant January so she ended up giving me next Monday through Friday off. Even though it was a mistake I pointed out to her, she felt bad because she didn’t have any hours to give me anyway. Luckily my General Manager is trying to get me some hours and I’m covering a shift for Carol so hopefully it will all work out.

Anyhoo I am off to bed now. I’m working on a new layout so until it’s up you’re still stuck with the Christmas one. Sowwy.

Ow!! I bet your thumbnail is going to come off. It hurts so bad I bed. Poor you! It really sucks being sick, especially when you don’t know why you are sick. I hope you feel better! Oh and do you still get the days in Feb off too? I hope so..that would suck if not. Anway, would you like to affiliate?

Owww! I hate squashing my fingers in things (especially car doors!), and we have a table like that too, I’ll watch out for it, lol.
I hope you feel better now, being sick is awful :confused:

Ouch! I hope you and your finger are feeling much better now. I love the Kill Bill movies too although I think the first one was better than the second

Hahahah! I think I have FINALLY gotten rid of pop up comments! I am very excited! :D
I found a thread on the WP forum where someone was trying to enable them, so I basically messed around with my CSS (hopefully not destroying anything else in the process!) until they were gone :D
