I guess it wouldn’t be me if I didn’t mention that THE FINAL HARRY POTTER BOOK WILL BE RELEASED ON JULY 21ST, 2007!! So excited. It’s also a little bittersweet, being the last Potter book. After that there won’t be any midnight parties to look forward to considering the movies are beyond crap. I just hope Rowling ends the series in a way that allows us fanfic writers to continue on after it with our own ideas. Aside from the fact my Potter fanfic was a Mary-Sue, I stopped writing because I figured it would be a lot more fun to write about life after Hogwarts, and I would wait until the series is finished. We’ll just see how things go. Now all I need to do is figure out which store I am reserving my copy at and how I am going to pull off a huge Harry Potter party.

Well I upgraded to WordPress v. 2.1 Ella (a la Ella Fitzgerald ;P ).The tedious part of this upgrade has been going through all my plug-ins to see what is compatable with the new version, what needs upgrading, and what needs to go bye-bye. I wish people that developed plug-ins would actually put the effort into maintaining them because there are some neat ones that I can’t use because the owners haven’t touched them in over two years. Grrr.

I finally fixed that nasty little problem of updates not showing unless I switched back and forth themes. It had to do with that WP-Cache plug-in. I guess if you activate it, it puts some line of code in the config file and doesn’t go away even after deactivating the plug-in unless you go into the config file and remove it. I went to the plug-in’s site to figure this out and now everything works. Lesson learned? Don’t activate a plug-in that comes with WordPress if you don’t know how it works and/or it says you most likely don’t need it.

I know for most of you, all that talk was a bunch of gibberish, but sadly thats what being a geek does. :lol:

I must say that as much as I am going to miss my job, I think I am leaving at an excellent time. Recently I’ve been aware of a lot of rumors, gossip, and drama going around at work. I wasn’t aware anything like that was going on until my boss took me aside to talk to me and asked me if there was anything I wanted to clarify with him. I knew there were issues between management and employees, but now as far as I know things are starting to get out of hand. I guess with management undergoing a big change it’s no wonder. I’m just glad I’ll be leaving all the BS behind.

As of today that lady has a whole month to be outta the duplex. I just hope she doesn’t wait till flippin March 1st to be out. I already put in my last day of work as the 23rd so I don’t want to be out of work and have nothing to do because this lady is laaazy. I want to move out. Now.

I am so excited about next week. For one thing, my 20th birthday is on Wednesday and I have the whole day booked. At 10am I’m getting my hair colored and trimmed so I’ll have a whole new look. Then Carol & possibly another former co-worker are taking me out to a late lunch and then it’s work from 6-10pm. The day after I fly down to be with Joshua for his graduation and the next few days will be spent helping him move back home. Things are definitely starting to get crazy! I love it!

Ah, I am totally excited for the new Harry Potter book! But two things bug me. I hate that it is soooo soon after the new movies comes out :( If it had only been in like November or something. Because it hardly gives us time to settle down from the movie. You know. I mean it is going to be like movie excitement for only a week and then book excitement will last like months after that. Oh well. The second thing that bugs me is that the least JK Rowling could have done is make it come out on July 31 for Harry’s birthday. That would have been so perfect. Oh well :\. Anyway, have a safe flight down the see Joshua and congrats on figuring out the whole wordpress thing. I used to use it but I was just getting too much spam. I think that it is better now but still, I like cutenews just fine ;)

I’m so EXCITED for the new book.. i almost hyperventilated when i read the release date, and then in turn.. i almost bawled my eyes out because “it’s the last book”.. oh man, i don’t know if i’m happy or sad!!

I’m sort of looking forward to the movie, but not so much.. i generally dislike them, because they’re so unlike the book.. and the little fangirls annoy me. hahaha.

Wow I love this layout, it looks really nice and soothing! And yeah I just recently upgraded wordpress too and I was having a lot of problems with it plus I kept getting emails from ‘Nobody’ but it was from my wordpress as an error. I got like ten-twenty of them a day. So for right now I uninstalled it and I’m using cutenews for awhile. Since I know I’m not going to spend as much time online as I used to so what’s the point? lol And now I can code my stuff the way I want to instead of using all the wordpress codes. Anyways I’m excited about the last book coming out. I still have to finish book six. I keep starting other books and never finishing others lol. And that sounds exciting about your birthday, happy early birthday! I’ll be turning 20 in April so it’s still a long ways off.

LOL! I’m sad to say I’m over Harry Potter. I haven’t read #6 and probably won’t bother, lol. I used to read them though, I have all other other ones :)
I haven’t upgraded WP for AGES, it works ok as it is, so why risk messing it up, lol!
Happy Early Birthday! 20 is exciting! Mine’s not for ages, so I’m still enjoying using being a teenager as an excuse for ridiculous things!
