The Friday Five ~
1. How far back can you trace your family tree?
Not very far. I know about my my great-grandparents on both sides but that’s about it.

2. What is the most interesting (or strange) thing you’ve heard about one of your relatives?

I haven’t heard anything really strange. All I know is that my Mormor got her head screwed with for living in China a good chunk of her life. Now she’s all superstitious about certain things. It’s weird.

3. How do you feel about legacy names like John Henry Smith IV or naming children after other relatives?
Hey if you can do it, that’s cool. I know that if I was born a boy I would have had a legacy names.

4. Would you consider yourself and/or your family to be traditional?
I don’t really know. I guess always getting together for the holidays?

5. What is one tradition you have passed on to your children and/or plan to pass on to them?
I don’t really have any that I am passing on. It’s more like I want to start traditions of my own, ones that I was deprived of as a kid.

So Spring is coming early this year I guess? Didn’t watch Phil on TV but Googled the news and apparently he didn’t see his shadow. Cool!

Looks like it is going to be an early spring! At least, that is the prediction from Punxsutawney Phil this Groundhog Day.

The Pennsylvania Prognosticator did not see his shadow today - and of course, according to legend, that means spring is just around the corner.

If the groundhog had seen his shadow, then, according to the legend, we could have expected six more weeks of winter.

The last time Phil predicted an early spring, was 1999.

After the weather we’ve been having so far this year, I’m definitely believing Phil.
