Today is a good day…
I shall break in my newly painted media shelves by adding that wonderful movie to my collection. Mmm Bond.
I was a very busy bee this past weekend. Friday my mom came to visit and spent the whole weekend with us helping to paint the entire house. The only rooms we did not paint were the kitchen and bathroom, because those need to be completely redone on their own. But the rest of the house? Wow! Each time we finished doing a coat, my mom would exclaim, “It’s like someone turned the light on!” Now, you would never know that the master bedroom used to be a dark red or that the hallway was bright aqua green. Now everything is a nice shade of white and it looks bomb! All we have left to do is paint the closets and trim, and then we can finally move on to replacing our God-awful floor!
Because of life being absolutely crazy at the moment, I ended up dropping my online math class. I looked at my grade recently and I’m clearly failing. I thought I could possibly do the whole math-online-thing, but I really need the student-to-teacher interaction. I can’t go in for help because I’m not living there anymore, and I don’t want to get an F on my transcript. If anything, the only reason I tried taking this class is to prove to my dad that I am not going to quit school. He thinks that because I’ve had a difficult semester that as soon as I move out I will drop out of school completely. I cannot stress enough how untrue this is. I do not want to drop out. I don’t want to go to my high school reunion with nothing. I just need a break so I can get things settled and get back on my feet.
Anyhoo, I have plenty more errands to run today and more painting to do, so I shall bid you all a fond farewell for now!
P.S. I am on Facebook now. It’s waaaay better than MySpace!

Meh, ive never been a James Bond fan :P
Congrats for being the bee of the week :D
Oh, my goodness, it sounds like you are super super busy. Painting an entire house, almost, over a weekend? That’s awesome. I am glad that you are getting settled in though. I haven’t seen the new bond movie…or any of the old ones to be precise but I did hear that they are good. LOL, I know, I suck. But good luck with the school thing. ;)
I need to see that Bond movie still, eek! :P And yay! Glad to hear things are going well for your house. :D
I know what you mean about needing a break. Sometimes life just flows a different direction. I have something similar going on with my dad too. He and my mom have a side business they run and I used to do the website…but then he got frustrated all of a sudden because he couldn’t update it much himself and took it out of my hands…and how he does it with a pagebuilder thing!! Yuck!! It looks horrible!! And he won’t let me do it…its disheartening, I mean, here I am getting a degree in web design and my own dad won’t let me do his website! GRRR! We must prove them wrong and show them how capable we really are! Yarrrr!
Yay for Facebook, I added you! Heehee, have a good Monday!
I bombed out of last semester: 2 F’s, 2 W’s.
The second I moved out, I have two jobs, more sleep, more money, and A’s and B’s.
Kasie’s Mom and my Nina were ALWAYS saying, “Now make sure you stay in school. School is the highest priority right now. Make sure you don’t take any semesters off. Keep your units…”
“Okay, we know that we’re going to stay in, and we’ve never done anything to show that we’re going to drop out at all, yet everyone keeps saying that to us — AND WE’RE STILL IN SCHOOL! We understand, but people need t–”
Kasie’s mom: “ok, I get it”
HAH, she hasnt’ said anything since.
