My first hosted get together at my new place turned out alright! I was up at 7am on Saturday trying to put everything back in the kitchen and bathroom. Because I was painting both last week, everything from the kitchen had been moved to the living room and everything from the bathroom was residing in my bedroom. Needless to say it was a MESS! I got most of everything cleaned and by the time Smelly + Mom came down they helped me finished and treated me to dinner and $100 worth of household/grocery shopping.

Sunday morning I present Mom with her present (the James Bond Monopoly game) and then Smelly and I took off so I could get a few things at the store as well as her Mother’s Day present. It was nice hanging out with my sis. While we waited for the Bare Escentuals boutique to open, we shared some treats from Starbucks which was inside Barnes & Nobles. When 11am hit we headed over to the boutique where Smelly ended up getting a pretty lip kit for my mom, which she absolutely loved.

When we got back, things went crazy as there was still more cleaning to do plus I had to make the lasagna and get everything ready. 1pm came and so did my grandparents and they were very impressed by how things look. Everyone stayed till about 3:30pm and from 4:15-5:30pm, I celebrated by taking a nap. When Joshua finally came home, we cracked open the wine my grandpa brought and relaxed for the rest of the evening watching The Pursuit of Happyness. Awesome movie!

My poor Izzie got in a fight with the neighbor’s cat Dylan and now has scratches on her tummy and ears. I’ve been nursing her wounds with hydrogen peroxide and antibacterial cream and I plan on buying some vitamin E capsules to help as well. I only hope I don’t have to end up taking her to the vets for another insanely large vet bill.

I have a 10am-6pm shift at work today so I shall be on my way. Tootles!

Dude, tell that cat to suck it up and deal with it! They take worse beatings in the wild and end up just fine.
On other terms, though, I’m glad your house is getting there! That’s awesome. Turns out we’re moving (long story), so you’ll have to come see our new place sometime, and I definitely wanna see yours!

Aww poor Izzie, lol! My cat was sick this morning too, I told dad to take her to the vet, but when we got home tonight she seemed to be fine, so that’s ok. :0

Aw, I hope you cat is ok after the fight. That’s scary because fellow cats can kill each other. Hugs for her ok?! Congrats on your dinner party going well. As well as a great mother’s day for your mommy. I would love to play the James Bond monopoly game! On my cruise they had a musical in the theatre that was called “Undercover” and was a spy musical with a compilation of James Bond, Pink Panther and Austin Powers. It was cool. I bet your mom would have loved it. Anyway, have a good one.

Aw, poor kitty! Chaz’s cat has gotten into a fight or two with some not-so-fun injuries as well. Poor kitties… :(
