Canceled Housewarming party.
Written on Saturday, June 9th, 2007 @ 1:54pm

I’ve decided to cancel my Housewarming party. Out of the 30+ people I invited, only 10 people chose to RSVP and only 3 are confirmed to come. Everyone else has given me a maybe or an excuse so I just give up. I figured I could throw a bash but I just can’t. I figured maybe that I am on my own people would want to come to a party of mine because my parents wouldn’t be there to embarrass me, but maybe I just can’t pull it off. I thought scheduling it a month in advance would help. But no.

I’m sorry to the three people or so who were planning on coming. Thank you for taking the time. I appreciate it.

Only the five for now. or A little optimistic despite the drugs.

Aw, that sucks that you have to cancel your party. I would have come if I lived near you!! *hugs* Hopefully some day in the future you can throw a party and it will be an ultimate success ;)

I would have totally been there if I lived around you! Blah to people, who wouldn’t go to a party?!? YAY FOOD AND FUN! :D

If anything…you and Joshua can have a par-tay of your own… *waggles eyebrows*…

I think you’re being a bit hard on the situation. Even a month out, it’s a lot of time and money to request a day off, drive all the way out there, gas gas gas, and you get the picture. I know you understand, but I’m just saying - if most of your friends are an hour or so out, you’re not going to have much luck.

That sucks, I would have come, if I, you know, happened to not live on the other side of the world, lol! :P

I’m so sad you cancelled your party! It’s hard to round people up, but some people just don’t like going out places, especially driving where they’re not familiar. That’s no excuse, but I’ve had a LOT of friends I’ve invited to several of my parties that just can’t bring themselves to make it, and you have to excuse them that. They don’t know how fun Bay life really is. :)
Seriously, though, you and I should plan an amazing 2-person (4-person? You, me, Joshua and Kyle?) party — you here, me there, whatever, and I’ll show you all we need is a bottle of sicky-sweet alcohol and some good food and good movies to have the kickassinest party ever!
That’s all the relevant things I had to say. I hope your poison oak clears up soon!
