HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!
I just realized that going back through my old blog entries I never updated on the 4th of July. Weird. Hmm.
Today was nothing too special for me. I went to work this morning from 9:30am-4pm where for the most part it was slow. A lot of businesses in the shopping center weren’t open so it wasn’t too much of a surprise. Still I love how Sephora was open but Costco was closed. You would have thought Costco would be open for all the people getting their last minute BBQ supplies. Ah well. I was happy Sephora was open because I invested in the Murad Acne Kit.
Before I go any further, let me just so for those of my fellow beauty lovers, the being a Sephora Beauty Insider and having the card is awesome. When they scan your card in store it makes note of what you bought so you can look at your purchase history online. Not only does it show the products you bought, but it shows what samples you got if any, plus it shows which Sephora you bought it at and when. It’s just awesomeness!!
Anyhoo, so I worked most of the day missing the town parade that apparently went on this morning. Customers weren’t too bad and I only dealt with one royal bitch today. She decided to ignore the fact that there was a fitting room person in charge of getting rooms. She helped herself to a room, left her clothes inside when she went out, and threw a fit when she came back and discovered I had cleared them. I told her that if she wanted them there she should have told me. She tried to tell me that she didn’t see anyone, and I replied I was directly in front of the fitting room folding clothes. She left her clothes in there for a second time so I cleared them out once more. She came back a third time and while showing her to her room I asked her to please bring anything out she doesn’t want. She rolled her eyes at me as I asked this, but surprisingly she brought out her clothes. After her my customers seemed a lot more pleasant.
When I got home Joshua & I took a walk down to the local park where a bazaar was being held, which happened to be going on since the parade ended. By the time we got there the vendors were working on closing up so we walked back home. Joshua cooked up some hot dogs and beans while I put together a clam dip to dunk potato chips in. Along with pickles, BBQ chips, and A&W Rootbeer, we settled down in front of the TV to watch … Independence Day. Haha, yup I know.
Well now I am off to go to the store to get something yummy for dessert.
