my laptop named Elphie

Elphie returned home to me last week with a brand new motherboard. Apparently that was the problem, and I think it mighthave had to do with me lugging her around in my sister’s backpack for the midnight party. We wanted to be prepared in case they made us wait in line all night. Elphie was having some other weird random problems before the motherboard, so when I got her back I decided to invest in Windows Vista and start anew. Joshua had just received his brand new laptop that week that had Vista on it so I was able to bum some software off him.

The only problem I’ve run into is the fact my Tunes Transfer software will not work. I had this problem back when I had XP so when I contacted technical support they finally came out with a patch to fix that problem. The patch doesn’t work with Vista so I contacted them about that and they couldn’t do anything for me except tell me to “try” the XP patch. Obviously problems. I was pushed to the point of accepting that maybe I’d have to suck it up and buy new software when I came across an article at iLounge about how you can manually remove songs from your iPod. Saved my butt, let me tell you! Now I’ve got all my songs back on my PC and life is good again.

My house is gradually coming together. I put up a few new pictures (the “after” photos), and I’m slowly putting more up as I clean each room. Thus, I’ve manage to only clean my bedroom and bathroom so far. Hah. I’m waiting for my sis to bring down this cute filing thing so that way I can clean up the office room to take pics. The living room walls are still bare so I’m holding off on that, and the kitchen depsite it’s paint job still needs some cleaning. I’m getting there.

My mom and sis are coming down to visit till Friday and then Joshua and I are heading up to Pville so I can go camping for Becca’s 21st birthday. In other words, don’t be surprised if you don’t hear from me.
