I’m a bee who got stung by one.

I have the worst luck ever. Today when I was cleaning up after working in my yard I got stung by a Yellow Jacket in between my big toe. I’ve been stung by a bee before, but this sucker has been hurting for like two hours straight. I was due to go to work at 5pm today, but I called out because every time I get up to limp around it starts hurting like nobody’s business. My toe is a wee bit swollen, but it’s not severe enough for me to go to the hospital. It just really hurts. I hurt

Over the weekend, Joshua and I went up to my parents house to celebrate Mormor’s 90th birthday. It was a short visit for us because Joshua was on call for Mercedes roadside and had somebody covering him so we had to get home ASAP. Plus, Parent’s didn’t have anywhere for us to sleep since my Godmother and grandparents were both spending the night. Still it managed to be a good visit (at least for us anyway) and Mormor seemed very pleased with her birthday party.

On Sunday Joshua and I dove straight into fixing up our front yard. We finished moving the rock to the back and then went to Home Depot where we bought 30 bags of bark. Most of it we were able to fit in my tiny car! We went back to get 10 more bags just before they closed thus leaving a small area still needing to be filled. This morning I went back to Home Depot where I took the last of the bark (13 bags) and 25 pretty stepping stones.

I managed to finish all of this around 1:30pm or so. Just when I was getting ready to hop into the shower and continue my other household things (laundry, vacuuming, etc.) I got stung by a damn bee and you know the rest. So now I can’t do anything that requires me being on my feet. Normally I’d be joyous, but the fact I have things to do and I’m not making money really sucks. this blows

At least you can go see what Joshua and I accomplished with our yard here.

Ouch! Make sure it’s elevated, that’ll cut down on swelling. Hope it gets better! Your yard looks nice. =D
