Today at work I got the most awesome shirt ever! For those of you who know my past experience with Poison Oak know the reasons why I just had to have this shirt. A new shipment of clothing came in over the past few days and amongst the graphic tees was this shirt warning about Poison Oak. I showed it to my supervisors as they knew very well about my relationship with Poison Oak. If you want to see the shirt and it’s bigness, click on the pic! I’m wearing it right now and I lurve it!
There has been a new addition to my aquarium. His name is Hoover (after the Hoover vacuum) and he’s an Otocinclus Catfish. He’s a nice little bottom feeder who seems to be doing quite well feeding upon the algae starting to form in my tank. I tell you, my fish are so funny to watch. Pippin, my Betta loves to chill in the big castle all day. Almost every time I walk by I only see The Beatles (my four Black Neon Tetras) swimming about. Pippin, however, is just chillaxin in the castle. The only time he comes out is when he is hungry, and he goes straight for the top corner of the tank where I usually give him his food. Now since Hoover showed up, Pippin spends most of his time out of the castle with this look on his face like, “What the heck is this?” They’re quite entertaining to watch!
After a very stressful day on Thursday it was nice to get away from it all and spend a little time in my hometown. I had a good doctor’s appointment in which I got my pill prescription refilled and also got some high dose pain meds for PMS symptoms. Then I went to my favorite local salon and got my hair colored back to my natural color (I lightened it back in February and haven’t done any touch-ups since) and got it cut. I love the way my hair has turned out and it feels so good to be able to really work with styling it again. I had a nice lunch with my mom and we did a bit of shopping at Wal-mart.
Before I headed on home, I visited Nana. We talked about her cancer and it is treatable and she’s going to be okay. Things are good and she’s doing well with the Kemo. We’re planning on going to see our favorite violinist Andre Rieu together in December as it will be my Christmas present for her. I think having that to look forward to is going to be good for her, as well as for me. The whole visit with her was so wonderful and we talked about all sorts of things. It just made me really happy that she’s so positive despite everything.
Anyhoo, I am due at work tomorrow morning at 7:30am for OLD NAVY VISA CARD TRAINING! So not fun. Plus Joshua is leaving me for three days to do more Mercedes training so boo to that too. I shall leave for the night. Ta!
