Life, Happiness and … school
Written on Wednesday, October 3rd, 2007 @ 8:13am

Over the weekend I got in a rather large fight with my dad on the phone, so my previous post is in regards to that. As you can probably guess my dad’s unhappiness with my situation is what our disagreements always come down to, regardless of what the original disagreement was about. Basically he was blaming me for the family digital camera crapping out just because I’ve been using it recently. Not only was I hurt/angry by this accusation, but I’ve suppressed feelings of hurt towards his attitude on the phone with me the last several times I’ve called. I blew up at him and hung up feeling extremely upset. Later my sis called me telling me his attitude is because of me living and sleeping with a man out of wedlock. I then decided I was just flat out sick of dealing with this kind of bullshit and laid it all out on the table.

I’m tired of tip-toeing around the things I do just because people think it’s wrong. I’m tired of living in fear of losing friends because of the decisions I’ve made. All I am doing is living by the philosophy of pursuing my right to happiness.

Other than that I’ve had a pretty good week so far. My mom and sis came down to visit over the past weekend. Smelly joined us at Six Flags on Saturday, which was really nice because she able to go on all the rides with me. Sunday we were all suppose to go to lunch with the grandparents but they weren’t feeling up for it, so mom came over (Smelly stayed at our place) and helped me decorate my house for Halloween. I still have a few more decorations to put up, but so far it looks pretty cool. It distracts people (I hope) from the fact we tore down the back fence and are in the process of putting a new one up.

School has been keeping me very busy. I have an exam in math today, a quiz in geography next week, and tons of chapter tests to do for computers. I’m hoping with my small amount of hours from work I’ll be able to catch up and even get ahead on school work, especially since I will be gone all next weekend in San Diego. Bobby (Joshua’s brother) will be graduating bootcamp from Camp Pendleton next week which is why I’ll be going down to San Diego. I’ve never been to San Diego before, nor have I ever seen a Marine Corps graduation so both will be equally exciting.

I have just a little bit over an hour before I have to leave for Yoga, so I will use this time to study for math exam. Blah.
