Is it bad I listened to Christmas music yesterday? I can’t help it. For some reason I am really anxious to get into Christmas this year. I think a lot of it has to do with it being my first Christmas in my own house in which I get to decorate when I want (day after Thanksgiving baby!) and how I want. Plus it doesn’t help that whenever I go to Target to get some Halloween stuff the Christmas stuff is RIGHT THERE. I think Tim Burton had the right idea with integrating Christmas and Halloween via A Nightmare Before Christmas.

I had a very good weekend in San Diego, and I am currently awaiting my pictures to be developed as I am digital-camera-less. I was down in San Diego because Joshua’s younger brother Bobby graduated Marine Corps Boot Camp. The ceremony took place at MCRD and it was the neatest thing ever, mainly because my dad did the exact same thing when he was 18. I am so proud of Bobby, and I know he’ll serve this country well.

After the ceremony, I basically spent the entire weekend with Joshua, Bobby, Bobby’s girlfriend Amber, and Bobby’s best friend Travis. We stayed at Amber’s hotel Friday night and Saturday we took off to go to LA for Joshua’s grandma’s 70th birthday party. We were going to leave for home with the rest of the family on Sunday morning, but the five of us decided to leave Saturday night and crash at mine and Joshua’s house. It was a fun weekend hanging out with them. It’s just kind of a bummer that Bobby is only on leave for 10 days and then is being sent to North Carolina for more training.

Other than that, I’ve been busy trying to get back into the routine of things this week. I had to change my availability at work in order to gain more study time for school. I’ve been closing every night and I desperately need the time in the evening to get on things. What really sucks is that at least if I don’t go to a class I won’t get fired for not giving an excuse two hours ahead, but because that’s the protocol with work I am forced to choose work over school in order to have time and that’s just not cool.

Anyways, I ditched Yoga today so I could so some studying for Geography so I’m off to do that. Byes!

Yay for Christmas decorating! We don’t celebrate Halloween so tons of Christmas stuff is in the shops over here all ready too. It’s pretty awesome and I really want to buy some, lol!
Sounds like you had a good weekend! I don’t think we have military training in NZ, or at least not to the same extent as in America. I don’t know anybody who has done anything like that.
Thats sucks about you having to choose work over school so you don’t lose your job, I’d be none too happy either. I hope you can work something out.

I feel the same way. I can’t wait for Christmas! Of course I am having a blast with all my Halloween decorations right now…but just wait till Christmas! WHHOOO. Plus Christmas music is the best! We were in San Diego in May and it was nice. I like the shopping! And there are 711’s everywhere!! Have fun studying! ;)
