Written on Thursday, November 15th, 2007 @ 9:47am Written on Thursday, November 15th, 2007 @ 9:47amI can’t believe it’s already Thursday. It feels like this week has been going by fast. Perhaps it has to do with the fact my weekend started on Sunday due to getting Monday off for Veteran’s day.
A recap of my past few busy days. Friday was work from 4:45-10pm, which was not so bad as I had plenty to keep me occupied. It’s the one good thing that comes out of the busy holiday season and that’s the store is always a mess; therefore there is always something that needs to be cleaned. It’s good, yes, but sometimes I wish clothing stores were set up like a bakery. People always have to touch EVERYTHING, even if they’re not going to by it. They run their grimy, germ-filled hands over stuff and people wonder why I carry a bottle of hand sanitizer on me.
Saturday was an 8am-5pm shift. I was at the registers the entire time and left with 4 ONCs. For a Saturday in November it really wasn’t as busy as I expected it to be. I thought every register was going to be occupied and then some. But no, people are venturing to the city and committing shoppers suicide and doing their shopping there instead. After work Joshua picked me up and we brough pizza over to my grandparents house for dinner. Sunday morning I left for my parents house so my dad could help me with my math homework. The whole family went over to Wal-mart in which we got our first family portrait in almost 12 years! My has been wanting a nice recent portrait to send out with her Christmas newsletter, and this weekend seemed like the perfect time to do it. Monday I did a little shopping at the mall with my mom and then headed back home.
Tuesday I worked 1-10pm which turned out to be a good shift. Again, I had something to do and got the only two ONCs of the day. Yesterday was school all day and the same goes for today. Tomorrow and saturday is 8am-5pm at work. I’m glad I am getting some hours in again!

Haha, hand sanitizer is my very good friend too, especially at university! Ergh!
That’s awesome that you got a family portrait, we haven’t had one for years and years either, since I was really little, in fact there aren’t even that many photos of me with both of my parents, lol, since one of use is usually taking the picture. I think this is the most recent photo (http://kiwifairy.awkwardmuffin.com/gallery/albums/batches/2007birthday/DSC02734.JPG) LOL!
