I put up a few pictures from the André Rieu concert I went to with my Nana last weekend. I would have taken more, but at first I wasn’t sure if I was allowed since they wouldn’t let me at the Josh Groban concert, and I wasn’t in the greatest seats.

The concert was absolutely wonderful. Carmen Monarcha was there to sing “O Mio Babbino Caro” which I fell in love with the first time I ever saw André Rieu perform on TV.

Mirusia Louwerse, another solo singer, dressed up as an angel singing a beautiful piece called “Concerto Pour Une Voix“; then she came out of her angel costume to sing “Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again” from PotO.

They played a few Christmas carols, including “White Christmas” in which they had fake snow drop on the audience. Nana & I were right behind where the snow was falling so we laughed at people getting covered, especially this one little lady who had her scarf on her head freaked out when an avalanche of fake snow fell on her. Three gentlemen baritone singers did a beautiful tribute to Luciano Pavaratti singing Nessun Dorma.

Even though the audience consisted of 98% old people with the measly 2% of young people only there to help their elderly companion, I still had a great time. André Rieu and his Johann Strauss Orchestra are wonderful to watch, and I’m glad I got the opportunity to them live!

Lol at the fake snow! I was have freaked out too, if something had suddenly fallen onto me!
