1. Where were you when 2007 began?
I rang in the New Year at Joshua’s apartment in which we spent the entire day (after he took me to Ulta and got junk food at Target) watching the SVU marathon on the USA channel because we’re sick twisted freaks like that. He had to go to work from 6-10pm so I continued watching the marathon while doing God knows what on the computer. Two minutes before the ball dropped we tuned into NBC, gave each other our midnight kiss and went to bed shortly after.
2. What did you do in 2007 that you’d never done before?
I moved out of my childhood home, did my own laundry, learned to do various household repairs.
3. Did you keep your new years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don’t remember making any resolutions last year mainly because I had no time! I’ll definitely be making some this year!
4. Go to any concerts this year?
I sure did! I saw Josh Groban in March (it was my very first celebrity concert!), and then I saw violinist André Rieu with my grandma in December. A great year of music!
5. Will you be looking for a new job in 2008?
Possibly. It greatly depends on how things go for me with my “temporary” supervisor position.
6. Did you drink a lot of alcohol in 2007?
Not a lot, but enough to get me slightly tipsy and a wee bit sick in my stomach.
7. Did you go on any vacations? If so, where?
I went to San Diego for the first time to see Bobby (Joshua’s brother) graduate from Marine Corps Boot Camp.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Surviving on my own. That and making it through a semester at a new school while living on my own.
9. If you could go back in time to any moment of 2007 and change something, what would it be?
There are a lot of things I would change. Since I can’t there is no point on dwelling on it. All I can do is better my future.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
I got Poison Oak really bad during the summer.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
I bought all kinds of new things. Probably my digital camera. I love it!
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
My mom, hands down. I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t have her love and support. She has been so great to me during my move and continues to support me! I love her!
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
My Nana. Her attitude towards me moving out has made maintaining a relationship with her extremely difficult. You would think that having cancer would make one think that life is too short to hold grudges especially towards family members, but no not her. She’s been silently punishing me all year, and continues to do so. Well congrats to her! Her stubborness and religion just lost her a granddaughter.
14. Where did most of your money go?
HAH MY HOUSE! Even though I got reimbursed for most of it, a lot of my money still went towards it.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Joshua graduating and moving in with him. I was really excited about living on my own.
16. What song will always remind you of 2007?
There wasn’t a song that really stood out this year.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you happier or sadder?
So much happier! I spend every day with Joshua.
ii. thinner or fatter?
Ugh sadly fatter. I gained so much weight once moving out due to the stress of house maintenance and lack of kickboxing.
iii. richer or poorer?
Hard to say. I guess a little richer now that I have a nice raise, and I’m not paying rent.
18. What do you wish you’d done more of?
Saving my money.
19. What do you wish you’d done less of?
Skipping class. Spending money.
20. How did you spend Christmas?
I went up to my parent’s house where the whole family came over to celebrate Christmas as well.
22. Did you fall in love in 2007?
Nope, just continued to stay in love and keep a good thing going.
23. What was the biggest change for you in 2007?
Moving out on my own. I think I’ve done a lot of growing up.
24. What were your favorite TV shows?
Gilmore Girls, Sex & the City, I Want to Look Like a High School Cheerleader Again, House, all the CSI shows, and American Idol.

Didn’t really have any. The music I listened to was CDs at work and my iPod.
28. What did you want and get?
My deep freezer, The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King - The Complete Recordings, a new bigger hard drive for my laptop, Aloe Vera Infused socks from BBW, Disney Vintage Posters Calendar, $20 Victoria’s Secrets gift card + bottle of Dream Angels Heavenly perfume.
29. What did you want and not get?
Apple TV, Sex and the City - The Complete Series (Collector’s Giftset), The Hobbit (Collector’s Edition), The Star Wars Vault, a travel size hair-dryer, giftcards to Sephora, IKEA and iTunes.
30. What was your favorite film of this year?
I don’t have one. Movies were not so great this year.
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
On my 20th birthday I was treated to getting my hair colored and cut at my favorite salon. Then I visited with Becca and had lunch/dinner with a coworker. I was scheduled to work but my stomach killed me that evening so I stayed home. The next day I flew down to SoCal to visit Joshua and see him graduate!
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Certain family members not causing so much drama. Also more work done around the house.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2007?
Old Navy. I’m trying to go a bit more stylish and sophisticated.
34. What kept you sane?
Joshua. And my cats.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
No one really. Didn’t have too much time to get into any celebrities this year.
36. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.
You find out who your friends are
Somebody’s gonna drop everything
Run out and crank up their car
Hit the gas, get there fast
Never stop to think “what’s in it for me?” or “it’s way too far”
They just show on up with their big old heart
You find out who your friends are

My mom. Moving away from her was extremely hard.
