Fat Tuesday
Written on Tuesday, February 5th, 2008 @ 9:23am

Happy Mardi Gras! As most of you know today is the big eating day before we go into the season of Lent. Today really is a fat Tuesday seeing as I have decided to give up all junk food (with the exception of my birthday and Valentine’s Day) for the next 40 days and 40 nights. This means NO fast food, no sweets, no grease, no nothing that adds to my pudges of fat. I hope I can do this. I want to get rid of my constant cravings for junk food. I want to start craving things that are good for me! I hope by cutting off junk food for a little over a month will help me outside of Lent as well.

My weekend was spent in my hometown again because Joshua’s family threw a party for him on Saturday to celebrate his 21st birthday. On Sunday I did not watch the Super-Bowl, but rather took advantage of the empty streets to do some shopping. It was nice! Joshua and I left for home shortly after halftime so the roads were clear all the way home.

It’s my birthday on Thursday in which I turn 21. Woo hoo to legal drinking! The only bummer about it is instead of going out to dinner and having a drink, I have to go to class. Why don’t I skip? I was totally planning to until I looked at my syllabus and it said I have a test that day! Booooo! Hopefully as soon as my exam is over I will be able to leave, and maybe Joshua and I can have a late dinner of some sort. If not at least I have lunch with my family on Sunday to look forward to.

Welp it’s a little after 9:20am which means I need to head on out to weight training. Ciao!
