My grandma did end up going to the hospital on Saturday. She got an x-ray and it turns out she cracked her pelvis bone. The good news is it wasn’t her hip, something she was fraid of injuring and possibly having to get surgery on. She was in the hospital through Monday and has to get around via a walker as it it hurt her to walk; she can sit and stand just fine. We’re waiting for her doctor to finish filling out the application for the handicap parking placard so that’s one more good thing for her. My mom came down this week and has been a tremendous help.
So my little rant two days ago? The guy that came to my door was some from organization in which they learn how to do things properly in the business world, such as dressing right, shaking hands etc. and I guess he was going door-to-door to get rated on his professionalism. In order to rate this guy, we had to do it via buying a book from his little book catalog. I don’t need any books. I don’t want any books. I don’t have time to read any books except for textbooks for school. So I politely declined. Oh whoah no I didn’t! He threw an attitude at me and tried to make me feel guilty because I wouldn’t buy anything. You know, if he wasn’t so rude and actually came off professional to begin with, I would have had no problem writing a little comment or something.
I told him that I am a full-time student working two days a week barely making $200 biweekly, and I’m just like him trying to make my way to a better profession. You know what he says? “You’re not just like me. I’m not broke! I’m not broke, baby!”
Okay, then why do you need my money just to rate how unprofessional you are? Then he tries to walk away before I can say anything making some comment about that I’m beautiful or whatever. Jerk.
Not even ten minutes later I notice another guy dressed in similar attire walking down the street heading towards my house. Luckily I closed all doors after the first guy left so when the guy knocked at my door I didn’t answer. He knocked three times knocking like this. And he wants me to rate his professionalism? HAH!
I have no problem giving to charities; however I don’t like to do it out of guilt. And when I can’t give, no need to be rude. Definitely NOT professional.
Grr.. anyhoo today I had a wonderful time at IKEA with my buddy Anna. I haven’t seen her in the longest time so it was nice to catch up with her. On my way to IKEA I was behind a delivery truck that had a lovely message written in the dirt, “Honk if you’re horny!”
That made my day. That and getting an A on my math exam! Woo!

Hah! That man’s lack of professionalism is so ironic! o.O
Gosh, neither of those guys sound professional. I hate when people are rude when they come to your door. It’s so annoying! That truck was funny though. Good for you on getting an A! Whoo.
Ikea was so much fun! I’m definitely gonna head up and see your place soon.
