Last night I went to see The Other Boleyn Girl. I’ve been excited for awhile to see this movie, and you can imagine how jumpy I got when two of the trailers prior to the movie were the extended trailer for Sex and the City and Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2. It’s going to be a good year for movies! It was a sad movie with a sad ending, but I did enjoy it.
Today I went on the Mercedes-Benz Club of America’s First Sunday Drive. We all met up in Half Moon Bay. The president of the club made the usual announcements and then talked about the huge Sunday drive Joshua is organizing through our home-county in May. It’s going to be a two-day event, and I plan on taking loads of pictures! Lord knows I took a lot for today’s event!
The majority of our trip we traveled along the coast of Highway 1. We made a 40 minute stop at the Costanoa Resort, and wandered around the campsite. Joshua and I found a little bench to sit on where we could enjoy the ocean view; however a little kid decided we were only allowed to sit there if we graced him with three jumping jacks. His mom tried to take him away and he threw the biggest fit ever, which was HILARIOUS! I also found an awesome book in the resort’s general store.
We continued on till we reached the end of the drive at The Brookdale Lodge. We were suppose to have had brunch there, but the hostess freaked out because there wasn’t enough food to feed everyone. The majority of us left, including Joshua and I. During our trip back to civilization Joshua blew a head-gasket in his car, causing it overheat several times. We got home around 5pm and his buddy on roadside came over with some special Mercedes-Benz coolant, LOL.
In other news, I’ve decided come May I am quitting Old Navy. I’ve had up to here with the ridiculous bullshit going on with management. I hate how they’ve treated me as well as other employees. They’ve decided to punish those who don’t get any ONCs (ya know because we don’t try
) by not giving them hours. There’s another guy who works weekends only like I do, and they didn’t give him ANY hours next week, so I offered to give him my 9am-5:30pm shift. They allowed him to cover another girls shift today, but did they let him take my shift next week? No, because “he doesn’t get any ONCs.” First of all, you can’t get ONCs without workers, and secondly I see where they put him and they don’t give him a chance. Also I’ve noticed anytime I want a shift covered they make me jump through a ton of hoops whereas it used to be as easy as having the supervisor okay it; now suddenly they have to ask all the supervisors/managers AND they try to tell me they need my “special cash handling coverage” which they never use anyways. They treat me no differently than the next associate.
So the hell with them. They screwed me over, and I am much better than this.
ANYWAY, I need to get ready for another wonderful week of school. Tests in French and Math this week. Yay.

That sucks about your job, it does sound rather unfair. I think you can definitely do a lot better somewhere else.
Good luck for your tests!
