The Friday Five ~
1. What’s a buzzword or catchphrase that gets overused at your workplace or in your classes?
I think at work it would have to be, “No that’s not on sale” because we get people all the time bringing us items and saying, “This has no tag, but I found it on the sales rack.” PUH-LEEZ! Do you honestly think you’re the first person to say that? Gimme a break, dude.
2. What item in your house has seen too much use lately?
Oh I don’t know, maybe my fondue pot?
3. What’s a word or phrase your friends would ask you to use a lot less, if you were to ask their opinion?
I have no idea! Maybe, “I know, right?” But I say that sarcastically. I don’t know, tell me!
4. What’s something in your life that’s pretty much been used up and needs replacing?
HAH, my iPod. It keeps yelling at me lately saying I don’t have enough space. I want to get a new one, but I’m holding out till this summer hoping they will up the space on the classics.
5. In what way have you been overused lately?
My constant ripping of DVDs for my assistant manager’s iPod. Thank goodness I didn’t have to rip the whole list because there wasn’t enough space on her iPod.

Words cannot express how awesome the Minerals Master Class Event at Sephora University was! It’s the best event I’ve been to since my Dotties award back in 2005, haha! Joshua dropped me off in front of the university where I was escorted to the second level. I registered, made a nametag, and hung out for wee bit snack on cheese and wine. Eventually they had us all go into a huge conference room where there were dozens of tables set up make-up products, mirrors, etc. as well as a goodie bag. Leslie Blodgett, CEO of Bare Escentuals came up and did a demonstration with her make-up artists on the their new Get Started: Eyes, Cheeks, Lips kit.
After the demonstration we had a break-out session in which each table had a professional beauty consultant who was simply to answer any questions and help us with “play” with the products. Leslie came around to all the tables, and I was able to gush to her about how much I love the new Blemish Therapy as well as get a picture and autograph! Awhile later they encouraged us to go in another room where the cheese and wine was back as well as some brownies. I stuck around long enough to hear the last raffle of the evening (didn’t win anything, poo) and then I took off. Managed to get a business card in case I’m planning on applying for Sephora, tee hee.
Apparently this is the first time the university has opened their doors to the public like this, so hopefully they’ll do more events like this in the future.
Welp, another night at Old Hate-vy, haw haw. I’ll be out of there soon…

LOL @ the people trying to trick you into thinking items are on sale when they’re not! :P
I don’t think I’ve ever had fondue…obviously I’m missing out on something!
That makeup class sounds like it was useful. I did something similar once, only it was specifically for stage makeup, which was really cool, mind you, anything involving freebies, wine, cheese and brownies can never be bad, right!? :D
Omg, jealous!!! Sounds like you had a great time, I would have loved to sit in on something like that because my makeup skills have never been great, lol. Everything happens in California!!
Wellz, I guess I better move there…
