Own Up

My seesta has a Flickr account. I’m totally converting her to my ways of the web, mwah hah hah! evil laughter

Anyhoo, I can’t tell you enough how anxious I am to get out of Old Hate-vy. We recently got this new program in charge of opperating the schedule, and one of the features is that it will email us our schedules. When my schedule was emailed to me last week it simply said I worked Friday 6-10pm. This program also allows us to log-in and check out what we’ve already worked for the week/month and will show any upcoming schedules. It’s a good thing I checked it out because, SURPRISE SURPRISE, I was scheduled for a shift yesterday (Saturday) as well. Now, while I could work, the problem I had was the fact I never knew about it, and if I hadn’t checked I probably would have gotten a NCNS. Yeah, just what I need. Of course, all I get it is excuses on how this new program is still not working right, blah, blah, blah. Own up to it, geez.

Speaking of owning up to things, a certain cousin of mine is still not getting the clue to keep her mouth shut on the Internet. You’d think with stirring up all this family drama she would decide to refrain from writing inappropriate things on the net, but no. I mean, there are some things you just don’t say on the net. Example, plotting ways to kill your dad in the shower. And then you wonder why a cop shows up at your house? d'oh!

In relation to that, my dad and I are on speaking terms again. Everything is cool between us, we’ve just agreed to disagree on sending the letter. I understand where he’s coming from about sparing Nana’s feelings, and he understand where I’m coming from about honesty. The nice part about it all is we are all (me, Joshua, Mom, Dad, Smelly, Mormor, Morfar, and Nana) getting together today to celebrate Morfar’s birthday. We’re trying to keep the family together. As for Megan? Well, now she has to deal with the consequences of her actions, and that’s not my problem.

Meeeeow! I’m so behind on reading all your entries ! soorrrrry hunnyb! you had a falling out w/ your dad over that letter? that’s sucky :( but i’m glad you worked it out. you have enough family stress w/o that added ! *hugs*

yah.. you need to get out of ON. that company sounds like it’s just all over the place and hella disorganized. we have a web based scheduling program at my work too. and for the most part it works for shift. but the OT posted is always screwed up.

are you counting down to Sexy and the City??? wahhh!!!

Hahah, yay for making geeky internet converts! :D
The police showed up at your cousin’s house!? Oh dear, that’s not good at all! :O Hopefully she’ll catch on eventually!
It’s good that you and your dad have sorted things out, sometimes agreeing to disagree really is the best thing to do. :)

Ooh, I just got my sister to make a Flickr account too! *high fives!* We will rulez the world! XD

Blah about that weird work thing. That program sounds like it would have been nifty but they really should have tested it better or something before releasing it into a live workplace. Lots of things can, obviously, get screwed up that way.

That’s great about your dad! :D Although I know it still must be frustrating a bit to have him not agree with you in a way…le sigh. But hopefully your cousin will soon find her foot in her mouth. Sheesh.
