Wow, What a Five!

The Friday Five ~
1. When was the last time you had a needle stuck into you?
Monday at the dentist. Horrible experience. They had to inject me in 4 different places and each time they did they sat there forever doing so. I tried to sing Phantom of the Opera in my head to keep my mind off of it. I was shaking terribly after they had finished. I know, BIG BABY!

2. Who among your friends is the easiest target for needling?
Wow, like for future reference? Um, anyone but me? I’m the only baby I know when it comes to needles!

3. What’s something you can confidently do with a needle and thread?
Sew a few stitches. I’d love to take a class in the future and learn how to make clothes and such, especially costumes!

4. About how many phonograph records do you have in your home, and when’s the last time you dropped a needle on one?
I only have one in my house and it’s The Beatles Abbey Road album, which belonged to my mom. My mom has the rest of her records at home, and I cannot tell you when we last actually played a record.

5. Someone told us the other day about someone at a party using a flavor injector to spike a watermelon with vodka. Is this brilliant or is this stupid?
That’s kinda funny, but when you think about someone could totally abuse that. I mean, as if us 90’s kids didn’t have enough to worry about with people possibly sticking things in our Halloween candy, now we have to worry about what’s in our watermelon’s? x(

Wow what a week! I can’t believe that next week is my last week of classes. This semester went by really fast. It was a good one though because I’ve finally gotten a ‘B’ in a math class, and I’ve lost some weight (aka 2 flippin pounds  ). The good news is being in a weight training class this semester has motivated me to be more active (even though I’ve slacked these past two weeks), and I’m most likely going to be joining a gym this summer; the gym I’m considering is within walking distance so I can walk there and burn more poundage! Yay!

My reasoning for slacking on my exercise has been due to the fact I’ve been putting insane effort into fixing up my site. With the help of Melissa’s tutorials (and Melissa herself holding my hand through it all  ) I’ve been able to implement Dynamic Subnavigation into my site. The most exciting thing about it is everything is actually working!

I still have plenty more to do, like working on my extras section (it’s so sad and nekkid looking), but if you take some time to browse around you can see a lot of changes already. I even resurrected my Pixel Train, which I’m hoping one day will be brought back to life.

I feel for you at the dentist. I hate going. My anxiety burns the shots off so fast that my dentist usually has to give my about twenty just for a normal check-up and about thirty if I have any cavities. It is horrible. But then I am lucky in a way. Since I burn it off so fast from shaking constantly & sweating, the meds don’t stay in my system to hit my liver.

    Are you feeling better?

I like your extra section ^_^ I can’t wait to see what you do with it, but I do like it.

Melissa is great. She never minds helping. She had to hold my hand also during the implementation of some of her tutorials, lol.

    Yay for Melissa!

Wow, the Pixel Train has been around for a long time. Even longer than the Qbee?

@Hev: Yeah I feel fine now, but I’m still getting random pains in my mouth. I was shaking and crying so much after it happened though. I’m glad to know I’m not alone!

@Louise: Yeah Melissa is awesome and she knows it ;P I believe the Pixel Train came after the QBee because on one of Angelique’s blurbs it said she was inspired by the Qbee to make the train. I hope one of these days she brings it back!

I agree with you on #3, sewing would be an awesome skill! :)
As for the ability to spike watermelons, I can definitely see how that chould be abused it’s a little bit scary, actually! “Don’t eat the watermelons kids!” o.O
Congratulations on your maths grades, that’s pretty impressive, since you sound like you have as much trouble with it as I do! :O
As for the weight loss, losing 2lbs is better than losing none at all or gaining two! :D
The Pixel Train is so cute!
