Let the Free Time Begin!

Alrighty, so for the most part my extras section is done! I’m planning on adding pictures to the recipes once I make the dishes, haha; tonight I’m making the turkey meatloaf so I’ll try to get a picture up. I have plenty more to add to the reads section, but I’ll keep you guys posted on that; there’s some reviews up so it’s not completely nekkid.

I recently downloaded Media Shelf to manage my media, but I was left hanging by the owner when her instructions on integrating it with WordPress were not working. I decided the heck with it and am just going to fiddle with the CSS to customize it. Meanwhile, I’ve been obsessed with getting all media uploaded, which has been a bit tedious because it’s basically like taking inventory of every book, CD, and DVD I own. I have most of my books accounted for, but I still have a few lying around at my old house. My DVDs and music shouldn’t be too bad because it’s all in one spot, and I don’t have to take it out of the shelf to check ISBNs when Amazon can’t find what I’m looking for.

I just love I finally have the free time to do this kinda stuff, heh heh!

Anyhoo, so Saturday was my unofficial last day at work. And by unofficial I mean that I am no longer working, but I’m still in the system in case I change my mind. I got cornered on my way out by both my assistant manager and the temporary general manager into getting me to stay. I’ll admit, I was still too much of a pussy to tell her the real reason I’m quitting is because they screwed me out of a management position, among other things. I kept telling them it was because of school and family, but they’re so desperate to have me stay they’ll even have me work one day a week. In the end I told them I’d get back to them in late June just to see how things go with school. Who knows, maybe things will change by then. We shall see.

When I had my interview at BE last Thursday, she said she’d call me that day to let me know or on Monday. It’s Wednesday and no phone call. After Monday came and went with no call I kinda got the hint and considering how it went with ON over the weekend I really don’t care. Better things are coming along. :)

In good news, this weekend I’m heading up to Sacramento to see Phantom of the Opera with my sis and Joshua. I’m really excited I get to share this with Joshua, mainly because I got him hooked on Phantom within the first month we started dating. When the movie came out it was only a month and few days since we had been dating; sadly that date ended with me getting a nasty case of poison oak all over my left hand. Still I think seeing the musical live is a whole other experience in itself. I’m really excited especially since I get to wear my Phantom shirt! Woo!

Wellz, I have one more final to go and plenty of media to update so I shall say ta ta for now!

Actually I have one more thing to share! Last night when I came home after my French final, some jerk-off in a white Land Rover decided to park in my parking spot in front of my house. I had to park down the street thanks to him, which was not fun because I was wearing heels! Joshua had told this guy that I was coming home to park there, and the guy just retorted with, “It’s a public street!” I left a little note on the guy’s windshield saying, “Dear Asshole, Thanks for parking in my spot! ♥ The Person Who Lives Here” I was gonna take a picture, but the guy finally came back. He probably thought Joshua was bluffing so it explains why he didn’t say anything when he saw my note which was clearly written by a girl. ^_^

Yay for Phantom! My dad went to a production in Australia (Sydney or Melbourne, I think) sat right near the front…and proceeded to fall asleep! o.O
LMAO at the note you left on the guy’s car! WIN!

Media Shelf would be nice if the layout is pink like the main page.
And yeah! I just notice your emoticons :omg: . They are lovely! You made it? iPod?

Agh i didnt meant to do the whole only-comment-when-i-update-thing-again but i’ve been away from my laptop for a while and haven’t had chance to do much blog hopping, so i’m sorry. x( Shall make a conscious effort not to do it again starting…now.
I don’t blame you for not telling them the real reason you wanted to leave. It’s hard! Last time i left a job, i told them it was previous commitments i had to keep, when actually the boss was a pervert and gave you raise if you gave him one, shall we say. :ehh:
You know, I’ve never seen Phantom but it’s always been something I’ve wanted to. So you’d recommend the film?
And nice one with the car note. I love it. ^_^
xoxo

If you still need help with MediaShelf, I got it working for a friend in Wordpress! :D And I’m probably going to install it myself at some point as well. :)

Boo about BE, but glad you’re being positive! :D

Ooh, lucky about going to see Phantom, I would love to see it live! Take a pic of your Phantom shirt, I wanna seeeeeee!!

Lame-o about the idiot in the car. *rolls eyes* People are stupid.
