OH WOW! Just when I thought we were all slowly moving past the Megan-Bullshit, someone has to talk to Nana and everything comes out again. My dad called her up today to discuss plans for Mormor’s birthday lunch next weekend. However, the conversation turned into Nana being mad at me (shows she was being two-faced to me back in April) and now calling me a liar.
Of course my dad takes his frustration out on my mom who in turn calls me upset expecting me to console her. And it’s tough because I have made it clear with my dad that he can jump on my all he wants and it won’t effect me. He knows he can still push my mom’s buttons so he has someone to jump on. I keep trying to give my mom the means to make it so he won’t nag her, but God bless her she’s still defending me despite what he says.
As far as I am concerned, I am done with Nana, Uncle Mike, and cousins. Done. I need nothing from these people who are continually two-faced and hurting my mother and grandparents. And if Nana still can’t see what kind of person Megan is and trying to blame it on me, then the heck with it. You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink. Especially when they’d rather drink something bad for them.
ANYWAYS, family drama aside, I had my consultation with the plastic surgeon. I came in there prepared, but it was good for my mom to hear since she hasn’t looked up any info like I have, plus she might be considering the same operation. Basically we’re now waiting to hear from my insurance company on whether or not they’ll pay for the procedure. My plastic surgeon wrote a letter explaining my symptoms and showing them pictures so it’s up to them now. Here’s hoping things will work out!

Ugh! I can’t believe this situation will not die! I think you’re right, some people just insist upon blowing things out of proportion, even though people have tried time and time again to explain to them what is actually going on! o.O
I hope the insurance company decides you have a valid case. I don’t see why you wouldn’t since I imagine having back pain (and whatever other symptoms you have, I don’t know, because I’ve never had it) must be a rather big disruption to your life, and the breast reduction is required as a medical treatment as opposed to simply something vain. Good luck!
That is so lame and so not fair to you! ARG!! I don’t blame you for being “done” with it all.
Ooh, I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you about the surgery! I hope it’s approved, yay! :D
oh dear
Why does she feel the need to stir up so much trouble? *hugs* I’d be done w/ that too… well, honestly, i would have been done w/ it months ago… you’re much more patient than i.
good luck w/ the surgery.. kinda scary tho! eeeeks!
