Doing Good So Far
Written on Wednesday, August 27th, 2008 @ 9:44pm

Last night I strolled into class only to find a dark classroom with an ugly note stating French had been canceled. After I called Joshua telling him to come back to get me, I checked my email to see if there was anything I missed. Nothing. Once I came home I emailed my teacher and discovered my French class has been canceled for good. I have mixed feelings about it because part of me is happy my Tuesday/Thursday nights are free, but I also needed this class; it’s also too late for me to get into any of the other classes I need so I’m stuck. *sigh*

I do have to give my bookstore props for the way they handled my book return today. I was able to get my workbook I purchased fully refunded, and the textbook I had from last semester was bought back at 50% in cash. I was afraid I would get little, if nothing back, but the lady who helped me was super understanding. I was 5 minutes late to speech class, which unfortunately meant I lost out on earning 20pts. extra credit at the end of the semester. Oh wellz.

My second Weight Watchers meeting was today, and I’ve lost 1 pound since my last weigh-in. Typical weight loss for the plan is 1-2lbs. a week, but I was just hoping I lost more than a pound. I felt like I made a lot of changes last week so I was hoping for a bigger payoff. I guess I have to get used to everything happening in baby steps. It was amazing how much this week’s topic applied to what I was going through last week. We talked about knowing your zone and how to identify correct hunger feelings. It’s definitely something I’m going to have to work on, along with better eating habits altogether. :)

Aww, sorry to hear your French class has been cancelled, they ought to have told you.

I know what you mean about hoping to lose more. I was quite disappointed when I found I only lost 1.4 the first week. This past week in my meeting two women were talking about how they didn’t lose much one week, but then kept sticking to the points and exercising every day for the next week and they came back to lose 4lbs! I was like…I WILL WORK OUT EVERY DAY NOW.

Ok, that’s a stretch. :P But I will TRY to motivate myself… XD

Let’s PWN the next meeting!!!!! :D

I felt bad because the lady I chat with actually gained a pound, and here I was complaining I only lost one! :|
