First off, the latest with my Nana. I visited her on Saturday afternoon along with my mom, sis, and Joshua. She opened her eyes, but she was under heavy sedation so I don’t know if she’ll even remember we were there. Still, I was able to tell her how much I loved her; I held her hand, told her I was sorry for any pain I caused her, and cried a lot. Seeing her hooked up to so many different tubes and not be able to do anything on her own was very hard. I kept wondering if I would ever feel one of her warm hugs again.

Sunday morning she went in for an exploratory surgery. Doctor did some more patching up of the intestines, patched up part of her stomach, but they’re still flushing bacteria out. She’s going to be in the hospital for awhile as they monitor the progress. Whether or not the incisions in her intestines heal will determine what happens next. All we can do is prey for good healing.

Saturday evening I went out to Slingshots with Joshua, Becca, and Abby. When I came up last time Abby and I deemed Slingshots “our bar” so as tradition, every time I am in town we go for a drink. We all were having stressful/shitty times so it was natural that all of us go for a drink that evening. Joshua was our designated driver, thank goodness because we all woke up Sunday with a hangover.

Joshua and I came home Sunday evening, but we weren’t alone. My bestie Becca is now living with us along with her adorable black lab Rosie. It’s a long story, for Becca’s sake, I’ll spare details, but basically she has nowhere else to go. She and her boyfriend broke up and she decided to take us up on our offer of letting her live with us. This week we’ve been busy helping her get a job, cell phone, clothes, etc. so she can start on her own. I’m happy to have my best with me again.

My situation with iTunes got taken care of, FINALLY! When I did download the extended cut it was charged to my credit card. I replied to customer service and she said the charge would be taken off my card within three to five business days.

I finally got a call back today with a date for my surgery. I go up next Friday for a pre-operative meeting, and then on Friday October 17th is the surgery itself. Becca and I are going to have a “Boobie Going Away Party” and we’re making a tittie cake. I tell you, I’m really excited about getting this done. Only yesterday when I was in weight training and trying to stand up straight for a particular exercise did my teacher tell me I couldn’t drop my shoulders because my breasts were pulling so much weight forward. In other words, it has already began to affect my posture. I’ll be so glad when this is done! Woo!

Oh and I went to the Goodwill store today! Yup, I’ve never been there before, but I’ve decided the next time I go there I need to spend a good few hours looking through stuff. Anyway, while looking through their CDs (which included computer software) I found… MATH BLASTER! This is the first game I ever played on the computer, and this was on our very first DOS computer! Oh the nostalgia! ^_^

I’m glad you got to visit your Nana. I don’t pray, but I hope everything turns out to be all right. I’ve been thinking about you and your Nana almost every day, even when I’m not in front of my computer. :)

Haha I saw the Slingshots photo on your Flickr…LOL! Looks like fun times and yay indeed for designated drivers. :)

I hope Becca is able to get her life back in order soon. I’ve never been in her position, but I’m willing to bet that it’s not fun! What do your cats think of their unexpected canine visitor? Haha.

Glad the iTunes situation is getting resolved. Ugh. What a mess it sounded like! You wouldn’t think trying to buy stuff online would be so complicated! o.O

LMFAO at the tittie cake! I hope we get to see some photos! :P
