I did this meme last year and decided to do it again this year. You take the first sentence of the first blog entry of each month and post it. Try it!
January: Here’s to the first post of the New Year!
February: The Friday Five ~ 1. What types of portable audio devices do you use?
March: Last night I went to see The Other Boleyn Girl.
April: A meme… Everyone has things they blog about.
May: The Friday Five ~ 1. What’s one of the nicest things a friend has ever done for you?
June: In My Bag is giving away a $25 Lowes gift card!
July: Another busy week at school is coming to a close early for me.
August: I can say I have learned my lesson from getting a fold-down desk.
September: I was reading Dooce’s blog entry about the RNC and reading through the comments I found one person who put my exact feelings about this whole thing into her comment.
October: First off, the latest with my Nana.
November: The Friday Five ~ What’s your favorite holiday …
December: 1. Wrapping paper or gift bags?
It looks to me a lot of my months started off with a meme. They definitely helped with the writer’s block from time to time. Speaking of writer’s block, LiveJournal implemented a question-of-the-day not too long ago, which has come in handy with the recent NaBloPomo.
I like today’s question so I’ll go ahead and answer it while I’m still on this topic!
Q. Call it gym, P.E., recess, or pure hell, most people have participated in a class at school that focused on games and athletics. What sport or game did you hate the most when you were a kid? What sport or game was your favorite?
A. I hated everything about PE except badminton. I especially hated tumbling and track because my fatness prevented me from doing most, if not all activities within those units. Other than that, I kicked so much ass at badminton. Volleyball would come in at a close second, but I loved the badminton unit! Then when I got to college my favorite class has been and always will be kickboxing from Folsom Lake College. I cannot wait to move back so I can take it again! Next summer, baby!
Yeah, I guess I can make an official announcement that Joshua and I are moving to Sacramento next summer. I’m so happy to be moving closer to home!
I’m also happy because after 5 months, I FINALLY have a new layout up!
At first I was going to do a design that mimicked one of a small desk calendar I nabbed from the $1 bins at Target. As I progressed, I realize I wanted something festive so come forth the birth of this new layout! WOO!

I hated P.E. too. Almost failed because I skipped it so much.
I’m loving this design! Beautiful!
What a cute layout! I love it, especially the little holly at at top! :D
I might steal this meme too, actually, it looks cool.
LOL! I just read your 2007 first posts meme, and realised that I left you almost an identical comment last year!
Yay a new design, it’s very nice! :D I ought to get a new design whipped up, but I just haven’t had the time.
@Nikki: Thanks! Yeah I know what you mean. I took every chance I could to avoid that class.
@Holly: Holly likes the holly, tee hee!
I’m surprised you even looked at last years! Nice to know I have at least one dedicated reader, haha!
@Sarah: Thank yous! I really like your current one and isn’t it still a bit new? I miss seeing you around on the interwebz!
I love your new layout. It is simply to die for. So cute. I love it.
The new theme looks great
I need to go raid the Target dollar bins soon!
@Hev: Thanks, sweets!
@Bubs: Yes hurry! They have such good stuff there! A TON of Hello Kitty stuff!
