Unless you read my friends only entry regarding my school situation, it appears I’ve been rather cryptic about things lately. As it stands I am not going to Sac State this fall as originally planned. I’m not going into much detail about it, but basically I didn’t complete a requirement in time. Instead I need to complete this requirement 100% before applying again for Sac State.

The bad news? Because of the way they do things I don’t get to go to Sac State till next year. The good news? I’m in the system, I managed to find out what other classes Sac State needs me to take aside from major-related ones, so I get to take those classes for a LOT less money at Folsom Lake College, the local junior college. Makes my parents and their wallet happy and makes me happy because I love that school. Best JC ever, IMO.

Because I’m at the JC this semester school just started for me on Monday. I had a little trouble getting into classes at first because by the time I found out I couldn’t take classes at Sac State most classes at the JC were full. Luckily I managed to get into my classes okay (it pays to show up!).

I was very lucky since I decided to rearrange my classes on Sunday night at the last minute just so I could take my beloved kickboxing class. Originally I had all my classes picked out to take at the Folsom campus therefore sacrificing kickboxing because it was only available at the El Dorado Center, roughly 40 mins away from my house. But, after talking to Amber about the class I really wanted to take it!

Ever since I moved to the bay I frequently talked about how much I missed my kickboxing class. I realized that because I have to take classes Fall and Spring at FLC might as well not cram everything into one semester and do what I love. The important thing is I get my Math class and Spanish in this semester. I have to take a second semester of English which I am saving for Spring.

So here is my fabulous schedule for this semester:

Monday/Wednesday: Kickboxing 9-10:20am, Spanish 10:30-11:50am, Math 4:30-5:50pm
Tuesday/Thursday: Spanish 10:30-11:50am, Digital Imaging 1-2:20pm
Friday: NO SCHOOL – I ♥ JC!

I love my classes. I’m really happy with school so far despite not being at Sac State. I still have friends in classes so I don’t feel alone like I did down in Marin. And I’m really excited to see how much weight I lose and possibly my back getting better from doing kickboxing. We shall see!

I’m glad you have friends in your classes and don’t feel as isolated, that’s the worst thing ever!
