The Friday Five ~
1. What story did you love reading, as a child?
Fairy Tales! Hans Christian Andersen, Brothers Grimm, I loved them all.
2. What remains to be your all-time favorite book?
Ella Enchanted. I loved it before Harry Potter came along.
3. What book do you usually recommend to people?
Haha to my female friends I always recommend “He’s Just Not That Into You” because it’s the kind thing I wish I had read during high school. It would have helped so much back then!
4. If you were a character in a book, who would you be?
I have no idea. I like to imagine myself being part of a fantasy world, like Hogwarts or Middle Earth.
5. If you could write a book, what would it be about?
I’m not sure. I never thought about writing a book. The closest I ever got to writing a book was fan fiction and that turned out to be one big Mary-Sue mess!

A couple things to update on!
First of all, I’m taking a break from writing about the house due to the fact I’m in the process of waiting/saving for a new camera. Because I’m planning on getting a Nikon D60 (my first DSLR!) I’m waiting for that to be in my possession so I can retake and continue to take much better pics of the house.
About two weeks ago I engaged in Best Buy’s Trade-In program in which you trade in your old electronics for store credit. Our previous camera was having a lot of problems so I decided to trade it in along with my old Samsung monitor and my 4G iPod. I’m currently waiting for my Best Buy gift cards to show up in the mail.
I also decided to sell my Coach handbag and matching mini-skinny on eBay to get some extra moolah. After getting my bigger black one from the outlet store (for a heck of a lot cheaper too) I didn’t use my white one so it made sense to get a good chunk of change out of it.
And finally I was able to find a textbook buyback web site that would give me money for the stupid calculus book I’ve been stuck with since the beginning of the year. I’m not getting much, $3 to be exact, but it’s something and they pay for the shipping. Good deal. Sorta. Eh.
Speaking of textbooks, this semester I am trying out Chegg.com’s services. My final book came in today so tomorrow I’m returning my books I purchased at the book store. Unlike College of Marin (who gives you only the first week of classes to return textbooks for full price) Folsom Lake gives you 3 weeks to return your books thus giving me plenty of time to order my books from Chegg and return the ones from the bookstore. I would have ordered straight from Chegg in the first place, but I didn’t hear about it till I got into class. By going with Chegg I’ve saved $200 and they plant a tree for every textbook you rent!
School has been very busy and I’m just ending week two. I barely have any real free time and what free time I do have is during the afternoon, usually taken up by homework. While it has been hectic I have to say I am so much happier to be going to school up here. It’s just a way better environment. I LOVE kickboxing, Spanish is taught by an actual Mexican not some old white Obama-worshiper, Math is actually interesting, and Digital Imaging… well, for now it’s quite a bore seeing as my teacher is try to teach everyone how to operate Photoshop. Hopefully things will pick up in that class.
Overall, life has been good. Busy, but definitely good.
