Aside from the engagement, Joshua and I had one heck of a time at Disneyland. We seriously lucked out that day. To start with, when Joshua was in line to buy our tickets (one day park passes) a lady came up to him offering her 3 Day Park Hopper for $20; apparently it was her husband’s and he was back at the hotel. Joshua only had $15 and she took it anyway! It got us in the door and everything!
Then the wait times for the lines were super short. For example, the stand-by wait time for the Finding Nemo ride was only 20 minutes! Normally it’s 1-2 1/2 hrs! I joked around with one of the cast members about when some lady walked away because 20 minutes is too long! ![]()
We got into both Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion Holiday within 10 mins and Indiana Jones within 20! There wasn’t even a line to get a Dole Pineapple Whip! Because of the lack of people we were able to walk the park peacefully and ride all the rides we wanted to by 2pm. In fact the only thing we really had to wait for was our shuttle bus to and from the hotel.
It was seriously magical day. With the proposal and our luck with the rides and lines, I couldn’t have asked for a better anniversary present. And just think, next year we’re getting married on our anniversary! Can’t wait! 363 days to go!

Wow! That is very lucky! I got a park hopper for free at disneyworld because I knew someone who worked there, but I can’t imagine actually paying to go myself. Lol. And yeah the lines are loooong! But when you are with your friends waiting is fun.
Congrats on the engagement! You had a magical day indeed! Getting that Park Hopper pass was kind of like an early engagement present. ;)
