Guess what I did tonight. I quit Old Slavy. After two years of havin’ fun, I quit.

The Friday Five ~
1. When was the last time you had a needle stuck into you?
Monday at the dentist. Horrible experience. They had to inject me in 4 different places and each time they did they sat there forever doing so. I tried to sing Phantom of the Opera in my head to keep my mind off of it. I was shaking terribly after they had finished. I know, BIG BABY!
2. Who among your friends is the easiest target for needling?
Wow, like for future reference?
Um, anyone but me? I’m the only baby I know when it comes to needles!
3. What’s something you can confidently do with a needle and thread?
Sew a few stitches. I’d love to take a class in the future and learn how to make clothes and such, especially costumes!
4. About how many phonograph records do you have in your home, and when’s the last time you dropped a needle on one?
I only have one in my house and it’s The Beatles Abbey Road album, which belonged to my mom. My mom has the rest of her records at home, and I cannot tell you when we last actually played a record.
5. Someone told us the other day about someone at a party using a flavor injector to spike a watermelon with vodka. Is this brilliant or is this stupid?
That’s kinda funny, but when you think about someone could totally abuse that. I mean, as if us 90’s kids didn’t have enough to worry about with people possibly sticking things in our Halloween candy, now we have to worry about what’s in our watermelon’s?

Wow what a week! I can’t believe that next week is my last week of classes. This semester went by really fast. It was a good one though because I’ve finally gotten a ‘B’ in a math class, and I’ve lost some weight (aka 2 flippin pounds
). The good news is being in a weight training class this semester has motivated me to be more active (even though I’ve slacked these past two weeks), and I’m most likely going to be joining a gym this summer; the gym I’m considering is within walking distance so I can walk there and burn more poundage! Yay!
My reasoning for slacking on my exercise has been due to the fact I’ve been putting insane effort into fixing up my site. With the help of Melissa’s tutorials (and Melissa herself holding my hand through it all
) I’ve been able to implement Dynamic Subnavigation into my site. The most exciting thing about it is everything is actually working!
I still have plenty more to do, like working on my extras section (it’s so sad and nekkid looking), but if you take some time to browse around you can see a lot of changes already. I even resurrected my Pixel Train, which I’m hoping one day will be brought back to life.

Haaaah. He so knew it was coming! Ah well. Syesha is gonna go home for sure next week. After that? Who knows, but I’m rooting for David Cook.

I’ve been spending my free-time the past few days going through all my old blog entries on here to put them in their respective categories and to clean up the code. As I said on Twitter, I can’t believe it took me till April 2007 to quit using target="_blank" on all my hyperlinks. Not to mention how many times I had to TinyURL! really long urls. Super annoying! Thank goodness I know better now, eh?
Yesterday I had to endure the painful process of getting four cavities filled. The worst part was having the Novocaine injected. I HATE needles! After having to sit there for literally 5 minutes while they injected me, I has beyond freaked out. I was shaking and teary-eyed, which made me feel even worse for being such a pussy. It took forever for the Novocaine to wear off, and I felt bad because I couldn’t smile. My man was nice enough to bring me dinner and a chocolate milkshake.
SO! As I said previously, this past weekend was the big MBCA-SFS drive. Joshua organized the entire thing and while the first day started off a bit rough, the weekend was overall a huge success. In fact, we might be organizing another event next year. The first day we all met in Folsom and drove up to Auburn, through Georgetown, down to Coloma for our lunch stop, over to a winery, and then back down to the local Benz dealership; we had 27 cars total although some people took off during different parts of the trip. Day two we met at Starbucks near the dealership and drove up through my hometown, into Placerville, up to a winery in Camino and back down to Jackson; 22 cars joined us that day.
Now that I know what to expect, I’m looking forward to helping Joshua plan next year’s event. And hopefully by then I will have my own Benz to drive!

The Friday Five ~
1. What’s one of the nicest things a friend has ever done for you?
Let’s talk about my best friend Becca, who sacrificed taking time to pretty herself for our musical and instead spent time doing my hair and make-up. For every show. Not to mention she’s done my hair and make-up for every school dance. I like totally pwn her, y0!
2. What’s one of the nicest things a stranger has ever done for you?
A few times I’ve had people at the grocery store let me cut in front of them since I only had a couple of items to buy. One time a couple practically pushed me to go in front of them, haha.
3. What is a trait in another person that you instantly admire, and that draws you to them?
Manners. Someone who says please, thank you, holds doors open for others, says bless you when someone sneezes. Manners go so far in life and its extremely classy.
4. What is a trait in another person that instantly repels you, and prevents you from forming a close relationship with them?
Someone who is very loud and rude. I just hate very loud, rude, and impolite people. Also people who think they’re better than everyone else. Ugh, can’t stand it.
5. Time to vent: tell us about something rotten someone has done to you.
For all my first time visitors, my cousin decided to write a 2 page letter about how much she hates my mother, my 90 year-old grandparents, and my Nana with cancer. When I wouldn’t talk to her about because she tried to blame her actions on something false, she turned it around and made it look like I am a horrible person for not forgiving/talking to her. The sad part is she hasn’t even apologized to the people she hurt with that letter.

The Friday Five ~
1. How do you feel about spicy food?
I’m okay with it as long as it doesn’t take away from the flavor of the food. Spicy level can either make or break the food, like in the case of buffalo wings.
2. What kinds of condiments do you add to food in order to spice things up a bit?
I’ll occasionally add Louisiana Hot Sauce, but for the most part I don’t really add spice on purpose.
3. Not counting salt and pepper, what’s your favorite flavor enhancer when cooking?
Garlic powder. I seem to put it in almost everything I cook, and it makes such a difference. My garlic obsession is something I picked up from my dad’s cooking habits, haha.
4. What’s the spiciest food you’ve ever eaten?
Hah, Buffalo Wings. I don’t go out of my way to eat super spicy food.
5. In what way might some other aspect of your daily life be spiced up, and what’s keeping that from happening right now?
Well to be blunt, life in the bedroom could use some spice, but sadly the fact that Joshua is beyond worn out when coming home from work each night is preventing that from happening.

To answer the question from the previous post, ToGo’s is a delicious sandwich shop. Hah, I love that the one time I don’t like to something is the one thing no one knows about. Ah well, you know now, tee hee.
The last few days have made the week go by a lot faster. Wednesday evening after I came home from a math test (longest 26 questions of my life, I swear) Bobby and Amber (Joshua’s brother and girlfriend) were there to visit. They ended up staying the night and the next day Joshua played hookie so we could go to Denny’s.
Shortly after they left I had to go to the dentist for the first time in almost two years (bad, I know). It was a depressing visit as I discovered I had 4 cavities all where my mouthpieces sit, and that the jaw treatment I’ve been going through the past 5 years might not be helping me in the long run. Now I have to possibly get a second opinion in regards to my jaw problem, and I have to get my cavities filled on Monday. BOO.
In less depressing news, Joshua and I are heading on up to our hometown today for the big weekend drive. Joshua is part of the Mercedes-Benz Club of America’s San Francisco Section, and since the club does First Sunday Drives, Joshua was offered the chance to organize a big weekend drive in our hometown. It’s turning out be a big event so expect lots of pictures!
Now it is time for me to pack my things and get a move on. Have a good weekend everyone!
