I’m hoping if I win this to use it towards some well-needed yardwork. We’re planning on taking the outside perimeter fence down this weekend and putting in grass in replace of the bark. We’re also going to clean up the backyard so come time for my Housewarming Party people will have a place to hang out in the back. We’ll see what happens!

There are spoilers, my dears so if you wish to be spoiler-free move along!
What a fabulous movie! I think that was probably the best movie I’ve seen in a long time. After watching the series over and over again for the past five years it was like nothing changed between the TV show and movie. It did a great job of making you feel like they picked up right after where they left it.
The beginning of the movie had a montage of classic scenes describing the series in a nutshell. When touching on Charlotte they included my favorite line of hers, “I’ve been dating since I was 15! I’m exhausted! Where is he?” And of course they included an outrageous line from Samantha, “I’m dating this guy with the funkiest tasting spunk!” However, Joshua and I turned to each wondering, “Do any of these people even know which episodes these are from?” Yeah, we’re a bit snub about it, merely because I’ve watched every single episode numerous times.
Big looked handsome as ever. The Penthouse on 5th was absolutely gorgeous, and the closet Big ended up building for Carrie made me green with envy! I would have loved to have seen the closet with her wardrobe in it, but oh wellz. And then when they “decided” to get married I couldn’t help but giggle! The almost-wedding scene was so upsetting, especially since you’re watching what’s going on with the both of them at the same time, and yet Carrie has no clue! I felt so sad when she got out of that car and hit him with the flowers. Thank God for Louis and her spirit because seeing Carrie down for so long was heartwrenching. And Big’s proposal? One of the most romantic gestures of all time! ♥
Oh Miranda and Steve! It was so sad at first, but when they reunited on the bridge I cried! First off I was surprised that it had been 6 months since they had nooky; there were a few episodes where Miranda was like, “OMG 3 MONTHS I NEED SEX!” and yet suddenly 6 months? Second, such a shocker Steve cheated. I mean, Steve didn’t seem like that kind of person. I’m so happy they didn’t stay seperated. They’re like Carrie and Big: they’ve been through so much together for too long to not be with each other.
I was a little sad over how it ended, but I loved the way they did the whole Samantha/Smith thing in LA. For one thing, fans of House will notice they totally incorporated Smith’s whole Doctor-on-a-TV-show thing! I got such a kick out of that. Oh and the sushi all over Samantha’s body was just hilarious, especially when the phone was ringing. The horny neighbor (whose penis we saw, bwee hee!) was pretty hot, and such a hoot with Samantha being a peepin-tom. I didn’t get why they had to have her get a dog though. To me it showed no point whatsoever. Same with her eating to replace cheating. She didn’t even look fat so I don’t know what they were talking about!
Charlotte brought so much humor to this movie! Especially the most unforgettable part when she crapped her pants from drinking the water in Mexico!
So classic! I really liked her character, everything from her getting insanely angry at Big to her getting so angry she broke her water! And her finally getting pregnant! What a blessing!
Despite having to sit in the very front row, I enjoyed the movie immensely. I loved everything about it. Such a treat! I’m hoping to see it a few more times with better seating arrangements!

I am so excited for tonight! I’m seeing Sex and the City at 8:30pm! Woo!

I know this is silly and it’s only a website, but I’m a tad bit bummed I got rejected by Perfection for the 2nd time. I was so excited about my latest design, and I thought I had really improved since the last time I applied. I made sure everything validated correctly. I tried to make an original layout. I dunno… I just felt like I really did good this time and yet it’s not enough.
Sorry for the pity party. It’s just discouraging sometimes.
Yesterday while cleaning the toilet I threw my back out again. Hurts like a mofo and of course it happens not only when I am in the middle of doing something, but prior to having a ton of stuff to do which involves bending over like yardwork and washing my grandpa’s car. Plus I was planning on getting together with Anna today and instead I had to race back to my side of the Bay after my orthodontist appointment to see my chiropractor. BOO!
Aside from my hangover, I had a very good Memorial Day weekend. Sunday night I saw Prince Caspian with Joshua, Mom, and Smelly. Such a good movie! Prince Caspian himself is hella sexy and we (Smelly and I) got all giddy whenever Caspian had a moment or two with Susan.
Prince Caspian: I wish we could have had more time together.
Susan: We never would have worked, anyway.
Prince Caspian: Why not?
Susan: Well, I am 1300 years older than you.
I haven’t read the whole book yet so I was able to fully enjoy the movie. Is it pathetic I got a little teary-eyed when Aslan finally showed up?
I’m really happy they’re turning The Voyage of the Dawn Treader into a movie as well. Now I really need to catch up with my reading!
Monday I did some shopping with Mom and Smelly, which involved looking at bicycles for moi. My school is in the process of remodernization thus slowly shutting down various parking lots; as if we don’t have enough trouble parking as it is. Fuel is expensive so I figure the least I can do to get in shape this summer is ride a bike to school. I’ll save money on a parking permit, that’s for sure!
Tuesday I went to the city with my grandparents and then came back home to do some serious cleaning in the bathroom and kitchen. I invested in a brand new shower rod complete with a new curtain. The new shower rod alone makes the shower a million times bigger and thus showers more enjoyable, despite the nasty tiles.
I also took down one of the shelves in the bathroom, put it above the stove in the kitchen, and placed the microwave on it opening up a ton of counter space. I’m trying to reorganize the entire kitchen, mainly so I can have a spot for my booze, tee hee.
I know I learned nothing from the past weekend!
I decided on a date for a Housewarming Party therefore motivating me to get more done around the house. I just hope people will show for this one!
Anyhoo, that’s all for today folks!

Well that certainly was a first for me, haha. Joshua found it amusing that despite how loopy I was I was still able to code HTML correctly. Hey, I had to make sure my audience knew what a Tauntaun was, hee hee. It was a first for me, being drunk, and after experiencing it I don’t think it’s something I want to do again.
Saw Phantom of the Opera yesterday and it was awesome! This time around I got really good tickets. We were in the Grand Tier which is just above Orchestra. We were right in the middle so naturally excellent view. I did have to switch seats with my sis because I’m a shorty and there was a super tall lady sitting in front of me. The usher was a camera Nazi and chose to pick on me for taking a picture of the stage and yet there was flashing of cameras all around me.
This time around the actors did a much better job than the last time I saw it. The cast fed off the audience’s energy, something I think makes such a difference with plays. The special effects were awesome as always, and I loved the Phantom of the Opera scene with the candles and everything. Both Joshua and Smelly loved it as well. Definitely worth seeing!
After the play we took Smelly home and went over to Joshua’s friends house. His friend made alcohol beverages for us while we watched the Star Wars original trilogy. Like I said in my drunk post, it was great fun watching Star Wars with a bunch of geeks that are into it as much as I am. It was even funnier watching it tipsy mainly because I can quote those movies front and back, including the aliens!
I had two Cosmos and 1½ Strawberry Daiquiris plus a neapolitan ice cream sandwich. I think the ice cream sandwich topped it off because that’s when the drunk puking began.
Don’t worry I was graceful and just made frequent trips to the bathroom. On the way home my drunkness caused me to have a wee bit of an emotional breakdown, but Joshua put up with me through and through. He helped me into bed when we came home and took good care of me. Needless to say I won’t be getting that drunk anytime soon. Yeesh.
Today my stomach is feeling a bit sensitive, but other than that I’m feeling fine. I’m planning on going shopping with my mom and sis, and then we’re gonna go see Prince Caspian later this evening. Yay!
